He was one of the best strikers in the world back in the day and in 2000 he had a very serious and rare injury on his knee and after the injury he said he couldnt give 100% on the field cause he was scared of getting that injury again! People said his career was over.. But he went to 2002's world cup and scored 8 goals (2 in the finals) and won that WC with Brazil!

I grew up watching one of the best player in my area playing in the field... He was 9/10 years older than me ...one day after match he was going home just walking normally and in one of his legs ACL tore. After surgery and few months rehabilitation he went to the field again and immediately tore his ACL again. After that he couldn't even walk straight he would limp a little. Everyday he would come to the field and sat beside the post and then go home .... I couldn't understand at that moment how frustrating it was for him cause I was a kid .
