The "feeling of misery" that plagues anyone near Gabriel is a very clever detail. Initially, it makes you think it is some evil presence of his, but as it shifts later it becomes apparent that it just mirrors Gabriel's feelings - he was miserable as he was being kept imprisoned, and his state somehow projects itself unto people nearby.

I am not familiar with this particular story in the bible, about Lots wife. My teachings are still in the very very early stages but I did some looking around and found this general outline from someone. Does this give a good interpretation of that particular section from Lots story? If it does for one that is extremely fascinating and two I hope it helps someone else understand as well, the importance to the story at hand "The story warns believers of the consequences of looking back on their previous life of sin before salvation. Such pondering will usually return us to past sins. There is no room or time to worry about the things we leave behind in our journey forward with Christ. In order to grow spiritually, we must place our trust in God, not dwell in our past. We must follow God knowing his will is perfect and He will be present with the believer each step of our life’s journey."

What was humanity thinking? To trap an archangel? Least of all, Gabriel?? A General in his army, and we thought we could wield his power much like the one ring. What an amazing story! Perfectly written, research and knowledge all accurate. My only question is how did Gabriel lose his wings? That’s a rare occurrence indeed! This truly was one of the best you’ve ever done CreepsMcPasta, and the author should hold his head high. I’m mostly happy that it is fictional! 🙏🙏🙏

So the Higher-Ups kept the knowledge of Gabriel secretly hidden from *basically everyone* probably because very few people would've looked upon a *literal angel* sitting in captivity, and not had the urge to free it. Interactions between characters indicate that they really wanted to know what he was, but were harshly reprimanded for even bothering to think. The question for the Higher-Ups: If you feel you have to hide every conceivable detail about your work, because you think every person involved will actively try to jeopardize the project if even a single detail slips out, at what point to you consider that *what you're doing is morally wrong?*

Isn't this basically just spookier Evangelion without the Eva's? Lilith trapped in Geofront, the Angels trying to destroy it, and the spear of Longinus holding her dormant and captive.

There are similarities with Ergo Proxy as well. Edit also it's called the lance of longinus in Eva.

Taylor was definitely fucking the Rylan. I could tell as the story progressed. She deserved her fate. Edit: Called it. I fucking new it. So many hints dropped at it. Especially the captains taunting about her being a slam piece.. Also kudos to the author for the pillar of salt reference (the way Taylor died)
