You can tell how much respect McCaw has for Dusautoir. He said in his book he was the toughest he played against. It's great seeing two fierce rivals get on so well like in this video.

You're a better man than most, Richie McCaw, especially as Dusautoir stomped you and then dropped his knee into your ribs at the 76 min mark in the 2011 final. You were eye gouged in the same ruck. No wonder it took you a while to get up.

i remember the year after this happened. I was in woodbourne doing an exercise with the frenchies air force. On the last night when we had our presentations and a huge piss up, the frenchies gave us a photo frame containing the forward pass in four (clearly showing the forward pass) different frames of this incident and then a photo with their trophy....was a great night on the piss! Scored an air force officer that night and earned my wings :D
