I have to say Toph, anyone that didn't watch direct with you on stream missed out. Watching direct with you and your community made this announcement such a fantastic experience. We all were equally excited, equally emotional, and equally shocked. It was such a safe place to allow myself and others to be themselves and free to show our love for animal crossing. I just found your channel and it's SO amazing to see someone instantly recognize all the furniture series and the Happy Home stuff. Many other reactions I watched didn't have a clue what all of this stuff was. I was screaming and cheering during the Direct. We watched this a couple of times on stream, I rewatched this a few more times on my own, it still doesn't feel real. But at the same time it's getting less and less overwhelming every time I watch it and my brain is slowly comprehending what we're getting. All I know is I need to write things down and make a list of what *could* potentially change my actual island design vs what's strictly interior design

I only have 1 question for Happy Home Paradise, are the villagers who get Vacation Homes there permanent? How did that work in Designer? Like once they get a vacation home, are they there to stay? I would just love to create as many vacation homes as possible. I know you get a LOT of slots right off the bat, but those slots will eventually fill up.

The way it works is that once you make a house for the character you can visit that house at anytime. However, it's not connected to a village or anything like on your actual island. You travel there from the Happy Home Designer building via car transition and appear at their front yard. Once you leave, you're returned to the HHD building. The villager will be either in their yard or in their house and will have unique dialogue about you visiting them. NPC characters will also be wearing unique clothes. For example, Isabelle can be seen wearing cute pajamas and reading glasses!
