I'm Still Recovering and Some New Bling for the Bike

Still feeling lousy but had to at least take a quick ride on the Scout. I added a little bling to the bike too.

lol yeah Boney! That's great! I have those same mirrors saved in my folder of aftermarket parts. And I got my bike man! Was riding it around most of the day Friday when I got it and a little this morning before the weather turned on me! I was so excited I literally couldn't wind down to go to sleep till almost 6am est and I had been up that whole first day... And I got up early today lol!... I really hope you and your wife feel better soon Rob. You sound good at least! Thanks for the video!

I know how you feel, Rob. I had something like the flu all week even though the wife & I had the shot for strains A&B and viral pneumonia at Christmastime. Your neighborhood therapy ride did me good too, it SO NICE to see green grass for a change instead of green weeds and onions! I'm so ready for decent weather!

Thanks. Yeah its been rough first with the sinus surgery now being sick. Whatever bug it is its pretty bad. My wife is never completely "down" even when she doesn't feel well and this one took her out. Hope you start getting some decent weather soon. Spring Is almost here. :D

I'm not really that big on the whole skeleton theme but these are very well made. Even the mirror housing is metal. So far I'm quite pleased with them. :)

Thanks Mike. We are hanging in there for now. I'm rather happy with the mirrors and the frame. Frame was only $10 from amazon and is some sort of metal. Not a bad buy at all.

My wife & I are recovering now from the past two weeks with the worst case of the flu we have ever had, under doc.care with meds helps , lost 10lbs from just no appetite for the first week, finally out of it except for some coughing. News media says worst case of flu than last year.That's what I have , any bit of exertion have to stop and take a break. Rob , bike looks beautiful,just wondering with more outside neighborhood riding are you going to look into a windshield ?

Glad you and your Mrs are recovering. Not sure if Jeannie and I have the flu or just a really bad cold. She is never completely knocked out but this one has her beat down. I did get the OEM windscreen for the Scout but it caused a lot of buffeting. I bought a "Freedom Shield" and that helped but even it causes buffeting right at the top of my helmet and makes me feel like a bobble head doll over 45 MPH and gives me a headache. I didn't realize it until I took the protective plastic off the Freedom Shield else I'd of returned or exchanged it with a different height shield. Figure I'll leave it off unless going on a longer road trip.

I like your mini floorboards for your scout, what brand are they and where did you get them?

The floorboards are made by Indian, Part# 2881944-658. Got them through the dealer when I ordered the bike.

I hesitated on the skeleton look but couldn't find any quality mirrors that weren't real tiny or themed. These turned out well I think.

You mean a DN01 or Scout? I really loved the DN01, wished I could have kept it and have gotten the Scout too. The Scout is really nice and I'm starting to like it as much as I did the DN01. Best part is there are a lot of aftermarket accessories for the Scout. Not so much for the DN01.
