Things the original Ghost Busters changed for me: It was the ONLY movie I saw more than once in the theater until the Lord of the Rings movies. I would have never even tried a Zagnut bar without that movie. It's okay. I made several friends based on our love of quoting that movie. I wanted to grow up and live in a retired fire station. I almost had the chance, but it got tied up in a zoning dispute, and the heating system was in complete replacement condition.

Came here to see if he would reference Ramis' cameo role in Knocked Up, and sure enough. Ramis was the sun in that galaxy of 80s comedy stars. That writing, that presence, we get a bit of it from Apatow on occasion, but for the most part: it's gone.

I think it’s less of a drama but it has a lot of emotional depth considering Ramis and that sorta thing and it seems to just have a lot of heart, something the remake kinda lacked. Besides, there’ll still be plenty of jokes and funny moments from what I hear. Whether you go see it or not, OP, it’s up to you, my dude, I ain’t forcing or commanding you to see it, but if you do, I have a feeling you’d be missing out, but that’s just me!
