US President Joe Biden addressed the nation following Saturday night’s assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
He urged Americans to shun political violence and come together to protect the nation’s democracy.
Meanwhile, former US President Donald Trump has said he’s “supposed to be dead” following the incident at a rally in Pennsylvania.
In one of his first interviews since Saturday, Trump told US media he felt he had been saved “by luck or by God”.
Trump has pledged to “bring the country together” at the Republican National Convention which he is expected to speak at on Thursday.
