It's like the Crossroads guitar battle. The kid has got some talent!

It is one thing to be able to play fast, another to play fast and develop and embellish a melody of some sort. many players like getting faster and faster is where it is at, but that may only be the beginning. (my 2 cents worth)

As good as Isaiah is I think Dovi showed more range, creativity and feel overall. I'm not knocking the lad though. He's clearly extremely talented and that will come in time. By the look of him he has many years of playing in him and if he's this good now you can bet he'll be phenomenal in years to come
@janisvaskevics938 сағат бұрын
Ir's not how fast you play but how you hit the note. And blues is not about shtedding. My point goes to Dovydas.

I can’t shred like that, my old hands just won’t move that fast.

That makes smoke come out of my ears! My brain (and I AM a musician, or so my musician friends tell me) can't process that on One guitar, never mind TWO! I'm primarily an Alto Sax player and I used to be able to sight-read (but not anymore). Don't use it, you lose it...

DOVY, give him a guitar I dont know what it is but he sounds muted or his tone is off, your guitar sounds like a dream but his was a bit too muddy, loved the playing of both but your buddy's guitar didnt sound as good as it could have. Love the collaboration.

Dovydas practices with a metronome. This is where it shows.

Eddie van Halen wasn't incredibly fast. But man he poured out his expression in every note. Same thing with Jimi Hendrix Or BB King. Playing fast is a copout on talent. When you can make your guitar talk to people Then your great

Kid is fast but he can't seem to figure out what key he needs to play in. Might be a better player if he slowed down and listened to the bass line, found his key, and then figured out what notes are actually in that key...just a suggestion. Dovy, you rock brother.
