No one can play that harmonic after hitting all the E's like you can. Also the way you catch those frets when you shifting octaves is insane. @@hectorsaldanamorales4508Not really. For starters, Steve Vai has a higher action than what you think based on typical shred guitars. Also, it's insanely easy to set up a Les Paul with a low action. Not to mention famous players such as Zakk Wylde, Gary Moore, and Buckethead who also shredded on Les Paul's. The fact is, if you have good technique you can play on anything. The idea that you "need a guitar for playing fast" is cope for people who can't play.

I don’t think people realize just how impossibly difficult this is like most guitarists could barely play this without a blindfold at half speed, especially the part at about 0:46 … goddamn man incredible
@MultiMarcd3 жыл бұрын
To be honest Thomas playing that is incredible even if it's 200 years old. However blinfold or not don't change a things ... you play or u don't play it. If you're a musician you know what i'm talking about ... the hands know the roads.

@@MultiMarcd i feel u, but that sliding part… i learned this song and this specific case is some extremely precise muscle memory i’m just sayin

Sounds weird but the end part ist actually not that difficult (at least when you're not blindfolded). For me the intro is the most challenging part. He uses a really strange fingering on this one. Seems even a little overcomplicated.

I was so expecting a last note to be an octave
@frankenstein5883 жыл бұрын
ya there was supposed to be two notes at once there plus so many people pre-record the audio and then record the video afterward that i definitely have my doubts about that being live audio especially since his leg didnt even move when the distortion kicked on.

seeing a guitarist that's better than yourself should not be discouraging. it should be inspiring. the reason guitarists get discouraged when someone comes along whos better than them is because they think it's some sort of voodoo magic that allows these people to play the way they do. that's actually false. it's practice, hard work and dedication. the nerve of some guitarists that say "I'm gonna quit playing " because X & Y are better than me, is down right disrespectful to people who actually Practice hard. what you don't see from a good player is amount of work they put in. all you the see is the final product then make assumptions from there. who are these people that think you don't need to dedicate yourself to the instrument in order to see better results ? if you dont practice more than next guy you have no right to say " I quit "

This is not difficult. Just a matter of patience and commitment, just scales and arpeggios.

Excellent technical bit of playing. Cant say the piece is all that pleasant to listen to. Thing that was always a pin for me was that after learning difficult pieces, I knew that I would then have to keep on playing them regularly if I wanted to be able to continue to play them. This has always been a pain. Like, I think writing a great pop song is one of the best things, but to have to sing/play it for the next 40 years is something that is just too depressing. So this fellow will be having to play this regularly for the rest of his life of the wants to be able to play it for the rest of his life. What a pain. Very impressive work tho.
