Anthønyee Well, possibly, if people like you didn't discourage her, maybe she would've ended out better than she is now. I mean, do you realize what your actions are doing? The exact people who hated her for being trans when she was young could also possibly be in the exact same situation you're in right now. So, be careful, because sometimes the same actions that caused trouble to your or a friend of your's life, can be the exact same actions you're taking right now. Life comes full circle, and it's not always pretty, my friend.
@lucydragon737 жыл бұрын
rarest of pepes rarest of pepes oh my let's ignore all the grammar mistakes in this comment for the sake of actually responding to what you're saying lmao - plenty of studies have shown that gender does not necessarily correspond with your biological sex and it's not like they're choosing to be a female or male or anything, they just are. just like gay or straight people can't choose who they're attracted to, transgender people can't choose what gender they are
@shizomblesheiwajumbo58387 жыл бұрын
I am very sorry for your friend - this is really unfortunate / = The problem though is, that many people - just like she - do start transitioning at such a young age and never end up regretting it. What I think is important is, that she is happy now - especially considering how she attempted to jump out of the window, as in she was HIGHLY suicidal. The family treats this very carefully - in the video they say for now she hasnt decided on surgery yet and she'll only be blocking her puberty, as well as taking estrogen. She can always decide to stop these meds and then go through a typically normal male puberty, which will result to her having facial hair (if she has the genes for it), lower voice, et cetera. What I'm saying is - there are always some people who end up regretting transition, which is why there are specialists and procedurs and long theray sessions to make sure the clients really are sure about this - or as sure, as they can be. Medicine and Professionals are doing their best - but even they sometimes fail -and some people make mistakes. However, the bigger number of transitioning people ends up being very happy - and having their live saved. To me, it seems clear that she is very happy and content - and I pray it will stay this way. (As long as she doesn't have lower-body surgery though, I assume most changes - in case she reconsiders - should be reversible.) She appears very mature for such a young age though, so I think she knows what she is doing.

The fact that her father is a pastor truly shows the level of support in her environment. You know that when you see true happiness in someone when they are happy being themselves and in this type of support. Growing up in the LGBT community as well as going to a Christian school has certainly shown me the horrid ways that people express their hate and unacceptance is shocking, I have LGBT friends who left my schools because of the hate. It truly warms my heart to see that there is true good in people being Christians when a family accepts someone that is transgender. You go Rabekah!

Well, your brain structure or feelings is not what determines your gender, chromosomes do. If you’re born with XY chromosomes you are a male and if you’re born with XX chromosomes you are a female. There is no changing that. You can tell me that I am not accepting of who you want to be, but what sane person would promote delusion?

For everyone who says her liking "girly" things does not make her trans, please keep in mind she is very young, and isn't as skilled at expressing what she feels in her heart as a mature, fully functional adult would be. The society she is being raised in has taught her that that's all you need to be a girl, so that's all the explaining she thinks she needs to do. She felt so free to be able to enjoy "girly" things without being mocked by a hateful society. She knows what she wants and who she is, and my love goes out to this beautiful GIRL. I wish her all the best, and hope she enjoys many successes in her life.

I don't know if you know this, but 10 year olds are a lot smarter then you give them credit for. I knew I was bisexual at 10, so why can't she be transgender at 10? Would you have rather she suffered through constantly being labeled as male, despite that just not feeling like who she knows she is? This girl tried to jump out a window! She was miserable! If you'd rather let a little girl end her own life simply because she didn't like the way she was made then I have no words for you.

Here's the thing. Can a childs suicidal depression be removed with material objects ? I know temper tantrums in children can, and if the child attempted suicide, I can assure you he didnt attempt to jump out of a window. That is called a cry for help. Secondly if you're pushing ideology that has 50 percent suicidality, then yes you're encouraging them into a life of depression and self harm. Remember 90 percent of trans self har.... I mean, yes, im a boy which developed boobs because of my sex and puberty but thats a thing i can and will change in a few years. My voice is feminine but i'll change that with testosterone. My body is in a feminine shape but male hormones will change that too, at least a little. Its something different for Mtf tg people. Their puberty is different. Their voice will break and they will never be able to change that. They will sound masculine. And they will grow facial hair. And their shoulders will get wider. And more stuff like that which you can't change after. Two years ago, i made a comment about my sister transitioning into a male. At the age of 10 i didn't understand about how difficult this would be for me and my family. I didn't realise that it took years to transition. i am now 13 and my sibling is 12, its hard to understand what they are going through. And its painful to see them struggle with situations that "normal" people wouldn't have to think about like, which toilet they feel most comfortable using. i have been studying the science aspect behind transiting, i'm only doing it for them but it seems that they have got to that point where there just always moody. But i was exactly the same. Its so confusing sometimes, but everything is going great otherwise. Just know if you're struggling with gender issues you are amazing! Just think about all the people who love and support you and forget the ignorant ones who can't love you for you. ps. i can't actually believe i found my old account and this comment, it really brought light to my heart when all the comment again. :)

The main differences is that your daughter has the supports and she has her own voice, and she has the medical experts behind her. Thank goodness for you. 💯🌸Thank goodness for you being you and, not letting anyone else determine your future and your happiness. I lost my friend last year. She was denied surgery that she wanted in her 40s when she finally took a risk. After 65 miserable years that I can’t even imagine, and bring tears to my eyes, she found love and acceptance in a loving relationship, finally. She told me she knew that she was a girl at three years old. I can only wish she had a family like yours. 👏🏼☀️♥️Thank you so much for making this video. 🌱🌻🌟💜🩵

well, her parents were perplexed because she was wanting to die, so they did what they could to help her.. It isn't child abuse.. If the parent was actually forcing their kid to be a trans, that would be a form of sexual and emotional abuse, but they clearly were not forcing her.. The child truly wanted this, and even wanted to end her life, so her loving parents did everything to help her.. As someone who had abuse as a child (and now has borderline personality disorder from it) and went to many mental health facilities as a child where I saw many other kids who had been abused, I can say that this is far from abuse. People who think this is abuse do not know what child abuse is. Again, only would this be abuse IF the parents LITERALLY forced it on her, or continuously made her feel like she was not good enough as a boy, and only she would be as a girl which this isn't the case.

There is a video of her speaking in front of 31 thousand of her very accepting church congregation, and in no way was she forced, purely how she talked about her journey. Also, I agree with you, I was abused, no way is this abuse. Even the CPS who was called on the Bruesoffs found no single trace of evidence of child abuse. People who declare Child Abuse, are purely in it for joy of being hateful to people.

What structure? His/her face is all you really have to judge. There is no 'hips', 'boobs' etc.. specially when the child has yet to hit puberty. Your comment is troubling and frankly... quite demented. It's not difficult for a child to appear either gender. Specially when the female form has for centuries attempted to associate beauty and youth as one in the same. Your mind is well fooled into believing 'feminine' simply by long colored hair. It’s almost funny how people are still saying that her parents are forcing this on her. Did you even watch the video? She wanted to be a girl and they followed her through that process. They never told her she was supposed to be anything. They supported her decisions. Also, she’s like 10 (I think) so you can’t blame her for the way she explains how she felt. Being trans is identifying yourself as the opposite (or both/neither) gender. Yes she was born male, but she identifies/sees herself as female. I’m sure that once she’s older and has a better understanding, she’ll be able to explain to others. Why can’t you just support her?

yoGotti's Dad Yes she was born male but she identifies as female. When she's older she can decide if she wants to have surgery. She may be biologically female but gender in and of itself is really just a social construct (you've probably heard that before but I'm saying it now because people like you seem to forget). The difference between male and female biologically is just the reproductive systems and certain body parts. Nowadays, once you're old enough, you can have surgery to add or remove certain parts (to an extent) and if that's something she wants to do in the future, then that's what she'll do. It's not up to you who she decides to be. And I'll say it again for you're judgmental pea-sized brain: SHE IDENTIFIES AS FEMALE. If you can't accept that or still feel like arguing, then just don't watch videos like this and just keep going on with you're life. No one deserves that kind of hate. If little girls and boys can accept who she is than why can't you? It's not something you can control so you should just stop trying to.

GENDER EXPRESSION IS NOT EQUAL TO GENDER IDENTITY Everyone in the comment going 'boys can like pink' 'and commenting that they're bad parents or implying that just because she likes girl things, she THINKS she's a girl but isn't - You're all totally ignoring that they let her dress how she wanted. The parents didn't mind her (as a boy) liking girly things. That's HUGE. They supported her non-conformity, but she wanted to be seen as a GIRL, not a feminine dude. Hormone blockers aren't the end of the world. As a 'late bloomer,' maybe I know these kids can figure it out. If I knew when I was seven how I wanted the world to see me, and was given the option to develop how I wanted to, I don't know what I would have chosen (since I'm non-binary, and that still isn't broadly accepted.) But I think it's amazing Rebekah can live in a world where she can grow up to be the woman she wants to be. She's a trans 10 year old enjoying girly 10 year old things, because she has the freedom to. That's awesome. That's my takeaway.

@SabakaJunglay5 жыл бұрын
Kids have to be diagnosed by a specialist. I think it has to do with how kids self-label and how strongly they assert it. Like, if a kid insists that they are (in this case) female. It has nothing to do with toys they like or clothes they like or colours they like. A lot of kids (but not all) also have dysphoria, where they are disgusted by or reject their boy/ girl parts, and they may avoid seeing that part of their body or self-mutilate themselves there. They make plans for their future as a (in this case) woman and talk about being a mom someday, and all that sort of thing. They experience distress when told they are not that sex. If they have a temper tantrum when told they can't play with dolls, that's not considered a sign of being transgender, but if they are told they have to sit on the left side with the "other boys" and they have a tantrum, that is a sign.

@SabakaJunglay5 жыл бұрын
@@ryanthomas9306 You cannot physically/ medically transition if you are not emotionally/ mentally stable, you can't get surgery or cross-sex hormones if you are unstable. BUT social transitioning, where a person lives as the opposite sex, asks the people around them to use different pronouns and call them a different name, that is a normal part of alleviating the distress and depression, and is perfectly acceptable. In fact, there is often no other way to improve a transgender person's mental health. This child has only socially transitioned, not medically transitioned, and it has indeed improved her mental health symptoms. She is no longer depressed, anxious or suicidal.

That's exactly the point. She identifies as female. Why does she do so? Because somebody told her that boys cant like pink. They can't like sparkly things because they are "girly". The question is whether or not she would have felt she identified as female if she hadn't been told that "Benjamin" can't be who he wants to be without first transforming into Rebekah. Also, I really don't like how videos like this are often structured. At 1:27 they make the girl show us a photo and she says "I don't look so happy" to make us viewers see how "terrible" being a boy was. Then she turns the picture around and there are tons of photos where Benjamin DOES look happy.
