For those who haven't kept up with Jazz's story, it's not as happy and carefree as the media and TV doctors would have you believe. Jazz has undergone severe complications following her gender confirmation surgeries (Yes, multiple ones. We're up to 4 now) and her anxiety has caused her to also develop a binge eating disorder. She has absolutely no privacy, everything about her life is televised and used to promote "trans rights", disallowing her to live a normal life. The details of her surgeries are shocking and horrible, but TLC presents it all as normal, when it's clearly a case of malpractice in the name of being "progressive". Please do not put your child on puberty blockers. Do not sabotage their lives because you want to be a "woke parent". Allow children to express their gender however they want without inhibiting their normal bodily processes, because the damage is irreversible and only creates major problems in the future. Jazz should've been taught to love herself as she was, instead of being told again and again that she would finally be a "real girl" once she got her surgery.

Shut up. You don't know her and she'd probably be still trans even if her parents didn't support her. Mine didn't and I'm still trans after 4-5 years of immense suffering caused by my transphobic parents and they make me feel suicidal cause they don't accept me for who I am. You literally have no idea what it is to be trans. Also I'm sure she would be happier with multiple surgeries than having to live a fake life as a boy. Also the reason for her bad mental health is also people like you, thriving transphobia. When a trans person kill themselves look in the mirror, you may be partially responsible for it. I'm trans since 15 and always will be, even if that means losing everything. Screw you!
@hana-chan4202 жыл бұрын
@@teacup4593 I realize this is an old comment but I felt a strong urge to reply back to you after reading your words. Please read what my original comment again, and realize that I'm not against trans rights--I am on your side! What I find unforgivable about Jazz's story is that ever since she was old enough to talk, she was being fed a story again and again by her parents and the media that her whole life was building up towards the moment that she could undergo SRS. What kind of child talks so openly about genitalia, let alone understand exactly what being "transgender" is? It's such a complex subject, even most adults don't understand it fully, and yet Jazz was put on display in front of filming crews and was expected to be a leading voice on the subject by the age of 8. If her parents had allowed her identity to be a regular part of her life, instead of a televised circus, and truly embraced her (trans or not!!) we may have seen a completely different outcome, one that is without the severe and lifelong medical complications that she must now deal with.
@lindahandley5267 Жыл бұрын
Jazz plainly said in that early interview that she was happy being a boy living as a girl. She could have made her life work without the butchering of her genitals. But, her mother just couldn't let it be.
@petersaysthings Жыл бұрын
@@hana-chan420 I agree with a lot of what you say, and her mom definitely drives much of it. But I also think she could just be stressed about her mom, and tired of the media and performing for the cameras her whole childhood rather than knowing what it's like to be an authentic kid. So I can't say 100% it's her transition. That could be it, we don't know. It's hard to tell. But regardless, I don't agree with medicalizing kids necessarily, unless it's deemed as the last possible option to treat their dysphoria. It also needs to be done under extremely careful psychological and medical guidance. Now puberty blockers have been safely used on kids with precocious puberty for years, so for trans people, that's not what concerns me. It's only when alternate hormones are introduced that can cause problems like infertility and other issues. The main danger I see right now is shifting guidelines lowering ages for hormones to 14 when it used to be 16 and it seems the authorities on trans health (WPATH) want restrictions loosened, and I don't think that's a good thing. Transitions need to be done carefully and ideally, non-medically while someone is still a minor. If there's ways to treat gender dysphoria with strong family support and such that would reduce the need for medical treatment, that's ideal.
@weirdomode3123 Жыл бұрын
My Son said he was a girl at 4yrs old. Being a Neuropsychologist, instead of just feeding into what is obviously him not understanding gender-related concepts we engaged in healthy conversation and discussed where that statement came from. Mostly, it came from him wanting to feel similar to me and his sister and feeling excluded. We discussed you can enjoy things that females enjoy and it doesn't mean you have to be a female in the same way I like playing video games and with cars with him. He was happy to hear that, and I didn't pressure him and didn't discuss it further unless he initiated conversation. He started calling himself a boy again naturally. These topics should not be influenced by Parents with "adult brains". Children say things, feel things etc. for reasons way more complex than simple-minded Adults who automatically associate things with sexuality or gender identity. They're children. Most of the time they grow out of it. I don't understand why adults feel it's appropriate to intervene and modify natural human psychological development. The doctor who advised that at 5yrs old the child had gender dysphoria has no idea about normal childhood development. It's completely normal to question your gender or have questions regarding sexuality. These Parents, to me, ruined this child's development by encouraging and feeding this idea at such a young age and then profiting off of it significantly.

I watched the previous video that was done in Australia and when Jazz said that she was told that she wanted to play with Barbie’s, etc., I believe that no child really remembers being 2 years old so those things were put into her head. Then we see the anchor talking to Jazz (Jess) in the room again about her dress and asks her if she likes her dress where she hesitates saying that her mother picked it out for her and it seemed almost like she was coached. In this episode, Jess seems happy but when watching the other video when she was younger I felt like the parents had a lot to do with the way this child thought about herself and that they groomed her. Of course I could be wrong because I am bias and don’t approve of this lifestyle choice. And in no way do I approve of any parent who would push this on a child. I don’t believe a child is mature enough to be able to make the decision to take hormones and/or transition until they are 18. And even that is early. Many children who believe themselves to be transgender change their minds when they are older and realize that they were just gay. And many who transition realize that this doesn’t make them happier. The suicide rate of transgender people is so high and transitioning doesn’t change that, in most cases, it actually raises it. Think about the difficulties that it brings, this may be a lot of graphic images in your head, but if you remove a man’s penis and make a vagina, that vagina isn’t going to function like a real woman’s vagina. It doesn’t self clean and intercourse can be very painful. These are things to think about and need to be discussed and imagine doing this with a child. And even if the child just receives hormone therapy, the ramifications of that cannot be fully reversed. I just want happiness for Jess, whatever that means. I would never wish horrible things on a child. I just think that there are things that really need to be seriously considered because hormones and removing your penis are things that can’t be reversed. And to do these things at such a young age could possibly be devastating for her. I wish this child all the luck I can possibly send her, I hope she remains happy like I see her in this video but honestly, it sounds as though she has chosen a rough life. Especially since she also hopes to date men. I’m afraid for her future and that it only is going to be filled with sorrow. Let’s hope that I’m wrong. Good luck Jazz.

Everything Jazz says about her early childhood has been repeated to her over and over by her parents, especially the mom who was the first person diagnosing Jazz , even though she is not a psychiatrist. When she first thought her son could have gender dysphoria, she looked among different therapists util she found out one that actually confirmed it (but discarded the other therapists' opinions on Jazz). It's almost like she wanted to confirm the kid was trans so she could change her son's gender ASAP. - She ended up neglecting her other three kids because all of her life revolves around Jazz, she couldn't waste time before putting Jazz in the public eye, adn always has treated Jazz as a disabled person who needs to be watched 24/7. - The sad part is that Jazz grew up thinking that the surgery was her main goal to fully become a woman but the reality is that her depression was worse than ever after the surgery happened. But, of course, Jeanette fully denies that the surgery or the hormones had anything to do with Jazz's mental problems and still promotes early transition for kids, which is totally irresponsible and evil.

From the information presented in the series, it does not seem that Jazz Jennings herself was the initiator of the medical interventions like puberty blockers and gender affirmation surgery. It appears the decisions around Jazz's gender transition were primarily driven by the recommendations and guidance of her family and healthcare providers, rather than her own urgent request for these treatments. It's possible that Jazz was content living as a feminine boy and may not have actively requested the medical transition path. The motivations and decision-making process behind Jazz's transition seem to have originated more from the recommendations of her support system rather than her own urgent demands. This nuance is an important consideration in understanding her experience.

I'm at a lost for words here, *he*, must be messed up in the head, or was influenced by something(kids can be easily influenced after all). Seriously, this kid will always be a boy, *he* was born that way, nothing can change that. And what's more disturbing, is that most people in this comment section, don't have a problem with it. I just know people are going to be using stupid terms because of my opinion, calling me anti-transgender, or transphobic, or crap like that, this is messed up & you people know it. *He*, is going to have a tough time until adulthood, and he will have no one to blame, but *himself*.

He might feel discontent with being born as a male, but, the gender he was born as, cannot be changed, no matter how much surgery he goes through. He can look like a female all he want, but he's still be a male. In fact, its still messed up that a freakin' kid, is feeling that discontent. If an adult feels that way, fine, at least they grew up first, but a kid, come on, they should be happy with the gender they were born as.

Most Christians don’t even know the truth about the book they base their lives on. Did you know that the story of Jesus and his birth, life, death and resurrection, wasn’t even written down until 600 years after he supposedly died?! That’s 600 years of a story that was just word of mouth that changed a million times, with most details having to be made up bc no one alive even knew if it was true. Meaning the whole thing is most likely 95% false but you all are dumb enough to think that it’s accurate? And look into who wrote it, it wasn’t God lol. It was men who did it to gain power and control over people stupid enough to believe it and not question it. Oh it also claims the earth is only a few thousand years old, but we have fossils showing the earth is millions of years old. The whole book is also filled with hate and abuse of women. If this child suffered from gender dysphoria had the mother simply left the child alone he probably would’ve grown out of it and just became a gay man like 95% of the .01% of the population that has this condition. Shame on the father too for allowing his wife to do this. weak men usher in hard times.

I don't understand how people can hate her. She's a beautiful girl no matter how others identify her. If she identifies as a girl then she is one. It should not just be based on the parts you have(or don't). Honestly I'd be embarrassed to say anything is wrong with her.
@johnjm315210 жыл бұрын
I'm not saying that they "SHOULD", but I'm saying that if a person wants to be identified as a girl than they should be allowed too. Granted that the parents could have waited a bit longer before letting the decision be final. I never said that guys who behave more feminine are not men, I said that if a person chooses to identify as a girl, than at least respect their decision. You make me seem like i'm a conservative white christian boy who goes by a fairy tale. I'm a socialist Atheist who goes by science and my own morals. Let me point out my position. I think that even though, Yes the parents could have waited longer, Jazz still is happy about who she is and who she identifies as. If she's happy, why change it. She in science is a boy because of chromosomes but i think that it should go by the person as well. There shouldn't even be an argument about it(not saying we are just in general). She's happy and is now old enough to understand her situation yet still accepts it, and if she ever is not happy she is old enough to voice it. Position:She's happy and that's all that matters.
@johnjm315210 жыл бұрын
Well she does know about her situation. So she made up her mind because if she didn't she wouldn't be so happy, and would say something. Her parents did inform her when she was old enough to understand. I made many choices when i was around that age that I still stick to today.
@johnjm315210 жыл бұрын
I use she because like i said, "she" is old enough to know and DOES know her situation and that she was born a boy, but accepts wanting to be a girl. If she fully understands than it's not lying anymore

We have a very very huge country. Don't let the words of one American dictate what you think of another American. We are not all selfish bigots who run around with shotguns over our heads shouting out "death to all who do not think like me." I believe you should be able to live how you want to live. Love how you want to love. I do not think we have the right to judge anyone based on the context of our gender, our skin color, or our age. Be who you want to be. As long as you are not going to do anything that will be abusive toward the life of another person, of course. This is what I advocate. I am an American.
@freetolove991810 жыл бұрын

Valterain You are so misinformed about mental illness it makes me laugh! You obviously have never experienced it, or have any loved ones who live with it. Yes, Mental illness can be treated, but that does not mean it goes away. The effects can be reduced with medication and therapy...but many of them cannot be cured. Its almost impossible with serious mental illness...it always comes back, its always there. Do you think these people choose to have this? Choose to have this kind of life? To be bullied, ridiculed and made fun of? Many of them are not even accepted by the ones they love the most, on top of not being accepted into society? They feel trapped and ashamed! No one would CHOOSE that...its something they simply cannot help and cannot fight. Its something many of them are brave enough to face and do something about so they can be happier within themselves. Why should it matter to you anyway - its their life, not yours.
