I know this video isn’t about drifting, but imma help y’all out if y’all got drifting issues. My launch white controller started drifting. I went to Walmart and bought a new white controller. The next day I took the broke white controller back with the box of the new white controller I bought and receipt and told them it was drifting. And I told them I’d like to get a new one. They allowed me so I got two new controllers for the price of one. But if you don’t want two controllers just take it back and get your $70 back. New controller for free.

Hope this helps in the future, if you look at the chat link cable end that connects to the controller, you will see 2 “rings” on it. That’s the part that needs to make contact inside the controller for the audio to fully work. Try to see if some of the connectors inside the controller are pushed in or dirty. Just my 2 cents

I bought all of them and rotate them constantly between playing the PS5 and PCSX2 I use them quite often and am hopeful that lets them last longer. I traded in one of my whites last year cause of stick drift and somehow got, I think it was like 60 in store credit. The other one I just destroyed lol, may try to trade that in since Gamestop said they take "broken controllers". Yeah we'll see about that GameStop lol. In my opinion: Colorwise it goes : Black>Blue>Purple>Pink=Red>White The Red and Pink can look really similar in some light I hopefully we get more colorways soon. Personally I'm hoping for Gold, Rose Gold, Steel, Green, Orange, Yellow, Anniversary with color PS button and maybe some of the crystal variations.

So check this out, why don't you buy your PS5 controller at Best Buy? They'll give you a warranty which is good for 2 or 3 years. During that time, if you're controller messes up, you can return it and they'll give you a brand new one. Also, with that brand new controller that Best Buy gave you to exchange for your old defected one, you can get another warranty. I did this and it's saving me a lot of money on controllersm

The one that you threw that's on you lol, but the others that's a bummer hopefully Sony are doing like a repair programme coz i know for year one of the PS5 they were allowing you to send back controllers that had drift but i think that stopped. I'm lucky atm none of mine have started tripping or drifting (touch wood). I only got 3 atm, one that came with the console then two others i copped and customized last year. But i know given my track record ill have at least one that ends up messing up but that's usually down to natural wear and tear coz i think during the life cycle of the PS4 i ended up having 5 controllers in total and only one died. Likewise PS3 era i think i had 3 controllers total and one died as well which is usually the launch controller.

In April it will be 1 year with my PS5. I've had to replace the controller two times, thanks to games stop replacement plan I haven't had to pay for a new one. PS5 controller is not very reliable, if you buy one from a major retailer try buying the warranty/protection plan etc so you can save some money.

I take care of my launch day controller every day, clean it with a lysol disinfect wipes. When I’m not using it I roll it in bubble wrap. (I guess you can say I’m a psychopath when it comes to it) through all of that I still get occasional stick drift. Sony needs to fix this controller. I’ve even already sent it to them to fix and half a year later it drifts a little

So I got my PS5 back in 2021 in April and my came bundled with 2 white controllers. They were both fine but one started to get a sticky square button so I did the same thing you did and cleaned it with a alcohol wipe and it was fine. When the Midnight Black controller and Cosmic Red controller got announced I sold one of my extra white one to a friend of mine for $50 bucks and bought the Midnight Black controller. I then bought the Cosmic Red one. So now I've got 3 white Red and Black. My Midnight Black controller got real bad stick drift I uploaded a video of Ghost of Tsushima how the camera would spin around on it own while I'm not touching the controller. So I contacted Sony and they told me to send it in to them and they sent me a new one. Other then that no issues besides the piss poor battery life where they'll like a day at most. In comparison I got my Xbox Series X. back April of 2021 as well it came with the black controller and I bought the Pulse Red controller separately. I then later ordered a design lab custom green controller but when that one got sent out to me it had this weird issue where the stick was calibrated incorrectly so pressing left or right on the stick would make it move in a diagonal pattern instead of just straight left or straight right. So I called Xbox and they said ship it back to them and they sent me a new controller. Since then I've had no issues. With my Xbox controllers I used the double AA batteries each controller came with and those lasted like a whole month then I switched them out with the rechargeable battery packs I already had for my Xbox One controllers because they use the same type of battery and those suckers last a whole week before I have to charge em. So yeah the Dualshock controllers battery life is piss poor man really sucks. I even turned off the adaptive triggers since it annoys me anyway but still has shit battery life.

I only got the white one that came with the ps5, i got the ps5 on april 2021, and between june and september the jostick drift was so wild and anoying and the repairs i did only lasted 2/3 days each time and i was having drift again, but since september i didn't have drift a single time and my dualsense worked flawlesly since then, i don't know if it was the summer time that affected the jostick or a software update that fixed the issue but i'm very happy right now, i want the black plates with the black dualsense but spending 110$ on that will hurt my pocket a lot i think, first i'm buying elden ring and maybe in a couple of months...

I’m on my third controller. The first one, the R2 button broke because of the haptic feedback. I believe I was playing 2K and the trigger jammed. Second one was wear and tear. Warzone, other FPS’s and, a shit ton of MLB The Show. Probably going to bite the bullet and invest in a PS5 Scuf so I don’t have to wear out my L3 and R3. I own two PS5s and only the controllers that came w/ the console(s) stopped working correctly. The separate controllers I purchased (including a Scuf and Battle Beaver) work fine.

this is always gonna be a problem until consoles fully 100% support and intergrade mouse and keyboard.
