To me each place is quite fun for about 2 weeks, and within 4 weeks normality hits hard. This is going to sound obvious, but I find that I enjoy the city a lot more during weekends, since everyone's just kinda floating on clouds and it feels like being in heaven sometimes.

Well said, TechLead has many perceptive remarks. Personally, I travelled 7 years around South-East Asian countries (Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia etc.), I lived on beautiful tropical paradise-like islands. Yet, after a few years of constantly hanging around those places, I became bored and exhausted, as all those places looked more or less the same and offered more or less the same. Travelling became tedious. Then I decided to go back home but - as TechLead pointed out - there's no home to really go back to. This is our generation: people are lost and live kinda pointless lives. Alike, constant travelling becomes pointless. Btw - I travelled all those years having only 1000$ of passive income - it was enough to enjoy abundant life in SEAsian countries, I slept in decent apartments, homestays and bungalows, ate lots of delicious food, went for snorkeling trips, aprties and what have you. You don't need to be a millionaire to travel around the world. It's funny when on those tropical islands I met rich tourists who came there for a week holidays, as they worked their asses off in their home countries to afford those tropical holidays, while and I was there living months on those tropical islands so cheap.🤣
