agreed, i deep dive into the comments on a lot of videos i watch and i have seen so many people hate on blitz or stolas, blaming one or the other for what went wrong and it just irritates me that they are letting their fan blinders blind them to all the faults of their favorite characters and laying all the blame on the other. Its so very obvious that both of these idiots need max amounts of therapy and they both equally fucked things up. I'm honestly tempted to record a video of my own doing a deep dive into both of their mentalities (mainly about stolas trauma cause blitz and his trauma have had more screen time than stolas's has)

It's tiring to read when it happens. When I first watched the episode I wasn't mad at either of them. What happened made sense and was foreshadowed thourought the whole series. In my opinion their meeting showed that it wasn't anyones fault. They just weren't ready to be together yet. However watching how people tear into either Stolas for 'being a baby'(???) or Blitz 'fucking everything up(as if he did it alone)' made me super sensitive about it, because they dismiss very important parts of both of them to 'prove' that one did worse than the other. They were both bad at this, that's all. I admit that I get worked up when people dismiss how yelling and name calling is not so abusive when loved character thoses that. I guess I automatically get defensive about it since I, just like Stolas, have a PTSD from verbal and emotional abuse. It just doesn't feel fair. Just like trying to throw all the blame on only one side. It's a crash of two different kind of traumas - there is no better side in it.

Yeah. Both sides are just so well crafted and understandable when you take into consideration what each of them has been going through. They arent omnipresent to the universe like use viewers are! It is just expertly crafted to see a relationship like this where Both are in the right AND in the wrong simultaniously, making mistakes and wanting and needing eachother, yet both also being justifiable in their anger! All cause they don't know what the other has been going through and doesn't trust that the other actually wants them completely and sincerely! Just god frickin damn!

We all have personal bias, but I agree with you - no need to pick sides. Both Stolas and Blitzø are really bad at relationships in their own way 😅 Blitzø hates himself to the point where he struggles to understand genuine affection AND he is a master at self sabotage! And he tends to react with rage. Stolas feels so much for Blitzø that he ends up talking to him rather than with him. He is very eloquent and I think he explained himself very well, but Blitzø must have felt blindsided by it all. I just want them to be together 🥹💕❤️ they are good for eachother if they just talked about their issues and could probably learn a thing or two from the other one 😌

Hello, copy/paste. Counterpoint: not always. You hear it all the time with insecurities that DIDN'T ALWAYS stem from mistreatment as a child. While yeah, Cash might have something to do with his insecurities, it's probably his multiple failures, relationship or otherwise, that piled up and just created this large bundle of insecurity in him. In cases like Blitz', I don't think we should attribute it solely to his childhood.

Someone pointed this out on Twitter. But notice when Blitzø was screaming at Stolas, Stolas was flinching and hugging himself tighter every time. They pointed out that its likely Stolas was having flashbacks to when Stella would scream at him. Blitzø is literally triggering Stolas's PTSD from his abuse from her, and thats why Stolas kept trying to get away from him.

Because Stolas can’t be hurt by non angelic means this allows the sadistic Blitz to abuse him physically and verbally and finally emotionally. @@RizoKoboldthey do deserve each other, they’re great characters and they do truly like each other. It’s just their communication techniques are far different, Stolas uses words and deep conversation. However for Blitz he communicates through raw emotion, look at his body language he’s even use to loud emotion displays of communication and anger as well but for those he cares about they still make up after no problem. When Blitz even realized his own wrong he tried to apologize to Stolas and try and understand him but Stolas teleported away from heartbreak I don’t blame him though.

​​Thanks for saying it!!! I Know Blitz has done a terrible job at properly understanding stolas but that doesn't mean he hasn't gone through a lot too! Blitz is such a complex character that obviously hides behind the facade of a flirty and sexual persona. It is clear that stolas is getting hurt over and over by him, however, to make this relationship function peacefully blitz needs to understand that stolas does not think badly or low of him, and with this new episode at least he got the hint. We need to understand that a relationship is based off a good communication, concept that this two sillies DEFINITELY don't master. Yet no one seems to realize that Stolas’s immediate dismissal of Blitzø triggered his PTSD. Blitzø is used to people cutting ties with him. Even before he started doing it to others himself. Stolas didn’t give him time to process what he told him. Stolas had so much time to think all of this over. Blitzø didn’t know how Stolas felt so he had no context going into that meeting that anything would be different. Stolas did just spring that up on him and then when Blitzø made a mistake he shut him out immediately. This triggered Blitzø, he was used to people dropping him. However, instead of just accepting it and running away he did try to explain how he felt, albeit poorly. He still tried though, which is more than Blitzø has ever done with anyone else. Stolas was way too dismissive when handling that situation. What Blitzø was saying wasn’t wrong. Stolas wasn’t wrong either. They just BOTH handled the situation poorly.

What I love about this is how naturally every emotion flows from what we know of the characters. Nothing feels forced or artificial, like so many on-screen relationships do. As the audience, we can sit back and say, "this is what they need to do"... and we're not wrong, but, we also know that they can't do that, because we know where all of their emotions are coming from and how they feed their in-the-moment, spontaneous behavior. It really is a master-class in character-based storytelling.

I need people to understand that BOTH Stolas and Blitzø handled this situation poorly. That’s not just an opinion, that came from the creator herself. Stolas was too dismissive and Blitzø was too quick to anger. It’s understandable why both reacted the way they did, but neither of them understood their partner. Stolas had a fantasy in his head, but real life is messy. He didn’t accept Blitzø and his flaws in that moment. He just took it at face value. Blitzø had one as well, but he adjusted, badly, but he did adjust. Stolas didn’t give him time to process, nor did he give him time to explain himself. Not to mention Blitzø was so excited about seeing Stolas, he spent money on him who is rich by the way. He still tried to make sure that Stolas was going to have a good time because he cared. His panic buying was because he didn’t want Stolas to tire of him. If he honestly didn’t care he would have just taken the crystal and left, but he did try to talk it out.

You absolutely called it that Blitz-o- is still very nervous during the whole first song, he's just masking his feelings and insecurities with what he feels more comfortable with (coughsexcough) I love how they sing in such different styles with Stolas singing all Broadway and Blitz-o- talk-singing and practically rapping in places. It fits their personalities so well! I love Collin (the "wee lamb one") so much! If any of the three of them are going to get back into Heaven, I hope it's him. Fuck Cletus and Keenie! They're bullying him into sinning. Fizz looks SO MUCH more relaxed and happy since leaving Mammon's employ! In fact this is the first time we have seen him out of his meds but him dealing with Via he was always medicated. He didn’t listen to her either. He gets in his own head and creates a fantasy and when it doesn’t work out he shuts down.

@@smarmyknack the problem was that Stolas had all of the choices and Blitzø had none. He didn’t give Blitzø time to process the situation. He just shut him out immediately which wasn’t fair to Blitzø. Going in Blitzø had no reason to suspect that Stolas’s feelings had changed. He wasn’t privy to the same information the audience was given. All he knows is Stolas was sexed up, then distant, then Loona put the final nail in that coffin making Blitzø think he was just getting tired of him. Neither were wrong, but Stolas wasn’t completely in the right either. Everyone keeps jumping on how Blitzø handled things as if he was the only one to make mistakes in that exchange. Blitzø from S1E6 knew how he felt about Stolas, he just thought that he was the only one that felt that way. Which is why he dived into the “sexy stuff” instead. He didn’t want to put himself out there only to be rejected. Especially since, in their relationship, Stolas holds all of the cards. He has powers, power, and influence, which he has constantly used. Even when he saved Blitzø in S1E6 he called him his “impish little playing” then yelled at him. Blitzø was trying to see Stolas in a different light, but Stolas’s actions always cemented in Blitzø’s mind that he was just a toy. Even Stolas mentioning that he thought Blitzø always made everything about sex was kind of hypocritical. Especially since all sexual aspects of their relationship came from Stolas. Bltizø just went with it because he needed the book. He was always being treated as an object rather than an equal. This is the first time Stolas has ever tried to level the playing field, because Stolas doesn’t view it that way. It’s not completely his fault, the fault lies in their inability to have a conversation. However, Stolas jumped the gun and gave Blitzø no time to think on what he had suddenly sprung up on him. There was no lead in and the way he started the conversation already had Blitzø on the defensive. He was worried Stolas was getting bored with him and Stolas’s “no nonsense” approach didn’t help matters. Like I said, neither were completely wrong. Both had a right to feel how they did, but the power displacement was still there even though Stolas said in the opening song that he would hear and understand him. He didn’t listen and Blitzø isn’t the only person he’s done that to. He’s done it to Via twice now. They just need to sit down and actually talk.

Ultimately this needed to happen for any future relationship to be able to form on more healthy and equal terms. Blitzo and Stolas' deal was always exploitative and unhealthy on both ends. Blitzo is a self-destructive mess who pushes everyone away and demolishes his own relationships because of his insecurities and implusively lashing out, but the harshest part is that he really isn't even completely wrong even if he's clearly not in the right either and there is still a LOT that he needs to fix about himself or be called out on. As we saw throughout season 1, Stolas was constantly only thinking and talking about sex with him and ignoring Blitzo when he showed he was uninterested or uncomfortable with the flirting and Stolas really was coercing him into a largely transactional deal at first as seen in the first episode. Their relationship was inherently unhealthy because of the severe imbalance of power and the fact that even though on some level Blitzo does like Stolas he was being made to feel trapped and unable to have his own boundaries because losing Stolas' favor would mean the destruction of his business and livelihood. Even if it wasn't what Stolas intended to do, it's still what happened because Stolas was overcompensating hard for having gone so long starved for affection and didn't realize how complicated the situation and feelings really were for Blitzo soon enough Not to say that Blitzo hasn't hurt Stolas and been toxic himself, since he started out using Stolas for the grimoire and actively self-destructs in all his relationships to the point of hurting those close to him frequently. They both ended up hurting each other because they don't know how to have a really healthy relationship yet.

Now we need Blitzø having an arc to grow and solve that imbalance. But Stolas sure didn't realise just because he changed doesn't mean everyone saw it.

We can add an extra layer of sadness to that break up when you realize: These two are very incompetent lovers. Stolas is starved for love and has never known how to receive it or what it looks like thanks to his arranged marriage and Stella's relentless abuse Blitz doesn't know how to give love and is terrified to try it because every time he tried to give into those emotions, things ended horribly for him. Worse yet: There's virtually zero communication between the two, outside of constant sexual flirting or having to solve a crisis, these two have never sat down to talk like adults and actually know each other, to know their real selves.

I agree with you, but I think it's more like they're both unable to give and receive love in different ways. Stolas doesn't have trouble being comforted or believing (at least from Blitzø) that he's enough, as told at the start of the song, but he's at times so focused on his need for love that he forgets to give/show his own love for the other person. At the same time, he strughles with depression and understanding he can choose who to keep around him, to me it's not so much that he's unable to receive love than that he's too used to receiving hate without reacting. He did react in the episode and that's imo what will spring Blitzø into acting on his own flaws (nice parallel with Ozzie's where it was Stolas who understood he needed to be clearer about his feelings). Meanwhile, Blitzø has so low self worth that he can't understand anyone loving him, but he can give love alright (i.e Loona), he just wasn't in a situation where he could risk showing he cared and loosing his company. Then you have the fact that he doesn't struggle at expressing his emotions (he does in a very unhealthy explosive way, but he does alright, though only when he's at his wit's end) so much as he does organising them in a way that makes sense to others who don't have the whole context. Stolas had no idea how hard the sex arrangement and the power imbalance (Blitzø having to basically suck up to Stolas to make a living) had affected his perception of the relationship, so I don't think his rant at the end had any meaning to Stolas other than "he hates me", which is wrong, but that misunderstanding is on Blitzø. I don't know if what I said made sense (I do tend to act like Blitzø after all), but that was my twi cents.

Only thing I'd say it's that with Loona's case Blitz likely has less problem with because it's a more paternal love, as opposed to a romantic love, which is what both him and Stolas struggle with.

The Helluva Boss fandom needs to lay off Blitz a bit. Both him and Stolas are at fault for the miscommunication. People need to rewatch the first episode of season 1 and remember how this all started and how Stolas acted. I get that Stolas was hurt, but he also was very dismissive of Blitz and didn't really let Blitz have his moment to process this dramatic shift in dynamic. That does not make Blitz right in screaming and cursing and name calling Stolas, but his feelings of Stolas dismissing him and treating him as unimportant ARE valid. They are BOTH wrong. Just because Stolas has softened does not mean he is void of fault and responsibility in this situation. The transactional sex was LITERALLY HIS IDEA TO BEGIN WITH and it was very much just sex at the beginning. Blitz is not at fault for thinking that their dynamic was about sex because it literally was. They also have DRASTICALLY different perspectives on how they first met. To Stolas, Blitz was his first friend. To Blitz, he was literally sold to Stolas for like $5 and a condom and was forced to steal from him by his father. The power dynamic has always been in Stolas' favor and Blitz has always been disadvantaged in it.

I think the big mistake of the conversation between Blitz and Stolas was when Stolas starts walking away - surprise surprise, communication breakdown is the problem. Blitz clearly doesn't understand Stolas was being genuine, yet Stolas INFERS that Blitz doesn't return his feelings instead of actually asking him or listening to him. He turns his back on Blitz and starts walking away with the cold 'I wish you the best' line, which is the way you dismiss an underling / former business associate. Stolas didn't realize that not giving Blitz the courtesy of having a voice was confirming exactly what Blitz believes: Stolas doesn't see them as equals.

The way that Blitz can't even comprehend, in that moment, that Stolas could genuinely want him to stay. It breaks my heart that he's SO damaged and thinks so poorly of HIMSELF. Stolas has it wrong. It's not that Blitz assumes the worst of Stolas, it's that he assumes HE's not worth anything. The only reason he can find that made sense is that it must be a roleplay, because he's NEVER been able to believe that Stolas would want anything else from him, or that anyone would want him in their life without a "contract" of some kind. He adopted Luna. Millie and Moxie are his employees. The only shadow of a real friendship he currently has is Fizz, and even then he only went to see them because it was business. It's heartbreaking, he's got SO much trauma and baggage, the idea that someone might think he's ENOUGH, as he is, without any ties, just isn't the first thing to cross his mind. And just as he's starting to grasp the outline of the idea, Stolas takes the choice away from him again and shuts him out, assuming the worst (which is HIS own insecurities in play, he's definitely understandable here too) without stopping to ask WHY Blitz might assume it was another sexy roleplay. In Blitz's defense he's not so much hiding from his emotions as he doesn't understand that Stolas or anyone else for that matter could care for him. He hates himself so much he literally doesn't understand how he can be seen in a positive light. Which means any kindness or attention he receives has to be negative or its someone who's messing with him... Its no excuse for going off on Stolas the way he did which is why it finally hits him that this could be legitimate when he sees the tears in Stolas' eyes

I appreciate how you can see that both Blitz and Stolas aren't handling this situation well. I've seen some people put the blame entirely on Blitz or entirely on Stolas but both of them do something that makes the situation worse. For example, Stolas starts the conversation by saying he needs the book back permanently which immediately puts Blitz on edge and Blitz (in his emotionally volatile state of not loving himself) lashes out because he can't process emotions properly. I think the real issue is that Stolas has no idea what sort of trauma Blitz is carrying around... nor should he, because why would Blitz ever reveal that side of him? If that was known... I think Stolas, at the very least, would have the intelligence and wherewithal to understand that this road is going to be a lot more bumpy than he could ever have imagined. I don't think there was miscommunication, because that would require for the two of them to communicate to begin with. Every interaction these two ever had in the show's lenght has been either sexual flirting, or trying to get out of a deadly situation, or even something transactional like bodyguard duty, not once do they actually sit down to talk like adults. Their relationship as it was so far was toxic and unhealthy for the two of them, they need what Fozzie and MnM have, which is: to actually talk to each other, to get to know each other, but for real, none of this sex crazed stuff. But I agree that Stolas was the larger offender, he did not forewarn Blitz as he was so emotionally charged and pent up (also off his antidepressants), building the interaction in his head for days just as Blitz was planning the sexual interaction for at least a full day. And then, when Blitz didn’t respond how he wanted and was overwhelmed, he shut down and refused to give Blitz any time to process or talk it through with him. Was Blitz in the right? No, he’s a self-destructive person with no self-esteem to the point where the possibility that someone genuinely loves him terrifies him and seems impossible so he immediately takes it the wrong way. But in this interaction I agree Stolas was more in the wrong for not considering Blitz’s feelings or giving him any opportunity to process.

Stolas wanted to be serious with Blitz since the end of "Ozzie's", his texts from "Western Energy", his kind attempts of conversation that Blitz mentioned in "Oops" but Blitz was the one who brushed him off. Yes, Stolas had been condescending to Blitz before and that wasn't right of Stolas. However, since the ending of the episode "Ozzie's", Stolas wanted their relationship to be healthy, to change things for the better. The Asmodeus crystal was his way of stopping the unhealthy contract between them while also letting Blitz continue his job while giving him the freedom to choose: to choose to be with Stolas only when he wants to. I don't deny that Stolas was going too fast. At the same time, Bitz treating what he said as "no big deal/a joke" wasn't okay and assuming the absolute worst of Stolas near the end didn't help with anything. I think they need therapy and they talk things out properly when the time comes

Poor Stolas. Both Blitz and Stolas are at fault. Wow, so Dhork agents are planning to invade Hell and they got the Cherubs to team up. However, the Cherubs are lying to them being exorcist angels. I can see next season where I.M.P. will have to battle the army of Dhork agents and the Cherubs in order to stop them from destroying the balance. Blitz, Moxxie, Millie, and Loona are going to need help and have an army to stop them. This will be a huge battle that is coming. Lets see how the rest of season 2 plays out. Collin is the only Cherub that is only good one. Also, Moxxie, Millie, and Loona vs the Mechsuit Cherubs is a good fight. It shows that the Cherubs didn't have combat training. It was like 3 inexperienced fighters vs 3 experienced fighters. 3 experienced fighters won the fight!

"I'm not letting you (dismiss me like some butler imp) bitch. Let's go (let's argue about this)" like... It's not a healthy way to do it, but he's opening a conversation. The worst part about this is, just like in most Stolitz angst situations, I don’t know who’s side to be on. I want to be on Stolas’s side because everyone else I know on a personal level is on his side, but I feel more for Blitz which ironically is why he is my favorite. I don’t know who I want to defend or if I want to defend both or neither, my brain is going to explode.

I want to approach this from a character building perspective and as a psychology major but- both Stolas and Blitz have their own issues and reasons for struggling in the relationship and as such it is a raw and emotional moment to see where they clash. While Stolas believes that being honest and communicating his wants without granting time for Blitz to think is appropriate and an easy conclusion to things, it isn't fully accurate when it coems to Blitz. We have seen throughout the series that Blitz doesn't know what a healthy relationship is and even with Verosika it seems like mostly all of his relationships have been transactional or sexual rather than purely sentimental. And yes it didn't help Stolas also started the deal and was severely into the sexual transaction either. But on that end Stolas was given something new when Blitz shows some strained effort of care for him when trying to steal his book compared to his ice cold relationship with Stella even before the hook up. Moving onto the PTSD portion of both. Blitz again hasn't had any healthy relationships outside of his mother and is just now slowly rebuilding the one with Fizz. It takes baby steps as we see the communication and interactions with Blitz and Fizz showing through time and constant communication. The difference between that and his relationship with Stolas is Stolas started going cold turkey and didn't communicate his intentions as heart to heart as he could throughout that time (those few months) to sizzle down any possible insecurities. Meanwhile on Stolas's end he tensed up and shut down when Blitz took his statement as a joke because his father and Stella had done that to him in their own ways since he was little. So Blitz panicking and having an outburst also triggered him in return. Yes this was a neccesary interaction between the two for ANY chance of a healthy relationship in the future after both sort themselves out. But this also just goes to show how troubled and broken each of them are. Time and effort is the only thing that can help to start making a dent on psychological healing as well as support but without the want to change or feel better then nothing will be fixed.

it's not that sex is easier for him to comprehend, it's that he only sees his worth in being used (most likely stems from his childhood and being sold by his own father). plus stolas hasn't corrected him the last time blitz openly showed how distressed and sad he was, when he was telling him to not act like their relationship is anything but stolas wanting to fuck him. and blitz also told fizz, that to stolas "it's a novelty" and he's roleplaying as if he's interested in him. this is blitz's perspective, that came to be both out of his own trauma and stolas basically reaffirming it. so it's actually not surprising that he thought stolas is playing with him, again. i feel like people tend to overlook that and tend to only blame blitz's avoidance of real feelings and his hatred for himself, when there are issues that particularly trigger that response in him. another thing that i notice not many bring up, is the way stolas presented the asmodeus crystal. he didn't even apologize to blitz for treating him like a toy. this comes mostly out of his ignorance, he still does not fully understand that the issue isn't that their "transactional" relationship could be percieved badly by blitz (he only realizes it after he sees blitz almost in tears after ozzie's), but that it's real, factual. this is why his words like "to you", "your first instinct", "you think" come off so ignorant. he's working on himself, but he's not there yet, he still wanted for blitz to reaffirm that it's not like that, to validate him, so he wouldn't feel so guilty. and he gets upset when blitz doesn't do that. it's like he recognizes that it's not entirely right, but he doesn't want blitz to confront him about it, he immediately dismisses blitz, when he does. this is a part of why blitz switches to his fight response (before he was fawning, going back to his child state and begging). when stolas gives him the crystal, he presents him as if he's doing a great favor to blitz. which he is, but in the context of their relatioship and him confessing he cares for blitz, once again, comes off ignorant, to say the least. i think the way stolas teleported blitz out mid his sentence is going to actually frustrate blitz even more. he might be blaming himself again, but being dismissed like that just when he was talking about that same thing, would make anyone angry. stolas is most likely going to shut off, instead of trying to reach out and communicate. so it's going to be a mess, because now blitz isn't going to reach out either, most likely. other than that, it's kind of funny and tragic how they unintentionally triggered each other's trauma

Blitz's reaction was 100% fair. The Meet ups were always about sex, if Stolas wanted to change the nature of the relationship he could have told blitz ahead of time "Hey, I know this tomorrow is the full moon and stuff but we need to talk seriously about this relationship." Then when Blitz tried to do the love roleplay clarify that it wasn't a sex thing and to seriously consider his feelings, and if he needed time he was free to do so now that he has the crystal. Also hes not direct about his feelings, as at no point does he tell Blitz he loves him or wants a serious relationship beyond sex.

Stolas has been alone up above a high tower of royal and has to do things he doesn't always wants to do and wants freedom and Blitz brings that to him. Adventure and fun and sex that he was lacking heavily. Spending days not knowing if his daughter truly loves him with all that doubt eating at him, taking Happy Pills to dull it all. Blitzo has serious abandonment issues and it leads to anger as well but what Blitz makes me realize is that when he feels too much and depression sets in, he cuts himself off from people and says he doesn't care even though he will whisper their names in his sleep and has not recovered from what happened at the circus. People probably continued to shit on him till he had enough and now associates sex with emotion. His love language turned into sex but with Stolas, he must has done this so many times that he enjoys going to bed with Stolas but is in complete denial about it. Blitzo who is Self destructive and Self sabotaging and Stolas who Self deprecating and logical to a fault which blinds him to how he should feel his emotions out. Blitz feels alot while Stolas is trapped inside but keeps a smile on just to cover the pain. They are definitely not going to stay that way. They will gets together but some shit is going to go down. One more thing to add, it is true that due to this deal Stolas put him on, it ruined some of the love they could have had with each other. Blitz was sold to Stolas as a playmate (Who knows if that was also binding depending on the view), Blitz tries to steal the book and starts the sexual flirting first, Stolas makes a deal with him, Blitz starts to feel used or chained up like in episode 6 I think it was in the dream sequence and this puts more layers out there. Blitz uses Stolas to spy on Mill and Mox's date which now puts them in the spot light with Blitz exe and exfriend and Stolas being embarrassed by Oz and after just wanting to talk and going through all that shit, Blitz keeps distant in text and talks. Stolas gets injured and Blitz acknowledges that Stolas can get hurt but lashes out like he was the only one being used. This was months later in this scene and Stolas had to make a choice but was still being kind. Blitz went from joyful to sad to confused to more confused and follows this up with lashing out in anger and what he said about his royal side hurts. Stolas probably doesn't care about his royal side. I think Blitz is going to go through a heavy transition to get back Stolas and Stolas is going to be in trouble since he did go to the human world and got caught on camera and gave out a powerful book to an imp which is serious. Those Cherubs are going to make Blitzo have issues with how he operates on earth and how Dorks could end up getting into Hell which would not have happened if not for Blitz but that is just my guess.

Its not so much that he is not good at it, which he is not, but the fact Blitz hates himself so much he just can not wrap his head around the thought that someone else could love him.

Both of them handled it badly, but I feel sorry for Stolas because, during the duet at the beginning, he shakes an empty medication bottle that looks like the bottle of ‘happy pills’ (antidepressants), so during that entire conversation, he was off his meds which probably would have made that much harder 😢
