I just logged into iGunZ for the first time yesterday, and it felt so _weird_ that within a second or two of loading into Mansion, I was doing extremely "baby" speed versions of Butterfly and Wall Cancels. It's like all those neural pathways and hand movements are rusted over but somehow _familiar._ I haven't played this game in like a decade or so and I'm horrible at it now but the music, the graphics, the animations and the way momentum _feels_ in the player's hands while moving around all took me back to like 2007/2008. Just wild. Thank you for doing your part to bring GunZ back. This is the true Second Duel right here.

I'm thinking of possible spiritual sequel (if not a remaster) of this game The fact that K style is more like taking advantage of bugs or glitch would make this game harder to recreate or remaster, at least thats what I think. And introducing the K style to new player would be so hard, unless it's more like Smash Bros or Tekken where you need to look it up rather than an official feature.

I remember trying this game over a decade ago. As a slow learner, and Gunz being my first shooter, you can imagine how well that went. Got absolutely bodied and trashed. Everyone told me to git gud, but there wasn't really anywhere for me to improve and nobody wanted to help me git gud. Eventually after a lot of frustration and one too many stomps i gave up. Wish i met someone like you at the time. Maybe i, among many others would have gotten into the game.

You know what I loved? Those fun, chill flip shotgun tournaments. I forget what they were called, but you'd flip someone with your sword and try to kill them with a shotgun before they hit the ground and you take turns doing this.

Idea: Reach out to pros/ex-pros again and arrange a small tournament. The amount of publicity there would be if Dyrus, Daequan, iBDW, S2J etc were playing in the tournament would be enormous. Potential viewership in the 10's of thousands if personalities from diverse crowds are playing. I wouldn't be surprised if even more personalities would join in just from hearing about it. There's potential for a very positive spiral from that.

I remember the first time i saw this game .. it was in a cafe back in 2008 and dude i fall in love with it .. the gameplay mechanics was just beautiful ..with just one problem i didn't have any money to try to rent a pc and play .. when i do get the chance i enjoyed every second of it even tho i suck at it and always lose .. it was all fun .. now i do have a pc and gunz2 in steam doesn't have any players left ...it just makes me really sad cuz it has really good potential .. hope u revive this game all the best luck to you

Here in Brazil we miss a lot this game, I remember when I was younger playing gunz in 2007 with my friends, and I always remember this game and I can see in so many ways that this game could be like one of the largest games in the e-sports industry, and could have loads of profit with micro transactions with skins, and skins for the weapons like fortnite and Cs:go. I hope that Masongsoft open their eyes for all this oportunities that a renewed gunz could bring to their company.

I used to play this shit religiously in 2007, but really sucked at doing anything technical and didn’t have the skills for high APM mechanics, but i loved hopping on everyday after school to see all the cool things players were doing. Man, this series is blowing me away. I literally completely forgot about my brief stint with GunZ. When I was like... 12, my cousin showed me the game. He had already started to learn K-Style and was excited about all the things you could do. Unfortunately I was too young and didn't have the dexterity to get there, so I couldn't hang. But I remember thinking "Man, if I could do that stuff, it would feel awesome". I'm like a full on grown up now and I don't think I have the time to commit to being a competitive GunZ player, and this game doesn't really have room for casuals like me. Spent a big portion of my childhood playing this game with friends on the Ijji servers so I would absolutely LOVE to see it resurrected by the community! Let's fucking go my dude. I'm actually so excited now about the possibility of this game getting some new life after all this time. I don't want to get my expectations up too much, but I do think there's some real potential here. Never underestimate the power of the internet. I mean just look at some of the things Nick Robinson has done, being able to revive these completely obscure games or at least bring them into the spotlight. If we manage to keep this momentum up and with enough work and dedication, who knows, it could actually be the new SSBM (GunZ Documentary when?). Definitely going to keep an eye on this and intend to support you guys where I can, as someone who was never amazing at the game but always loved it. Are you familiar with Akshon Esports? It's a growing channel which often highlights small or forgotten games and communities and I think GunZ could actually be a great fit for their channel. I think if you could somehow partner up with them to talk about GunZ, it's history and it's potential survival I think that could bring a lot of attention to the game and hopefully help to revive it. Of course just bringing in new players alone isn't enough, many games can have a big spike of players at some point only to then die again a week or month later. In order to actually retain players and not scare them away you need a welcoming community, accessible ways to learn the game and some motivation to keep playing and improving, like for example rankings/leaderboards. I think you're already doing a lot in that regard though and I hope that the rest of the community can come together to help. I still hope we can one day get that Steam release, but either way let's do what we can for now to keep the torch lit. I'm really thankful that you're doing this, keep it up man :)

Its good to see the game finally getting the recognition it deserves ! its strange because the two online games I got into heavily when I was a teenager both have very dedicated communities that tend to hate the sequel or other games in the same broad genre, the other game I played was Guild Wars 1, which you can see an interesting video about by an upcoming KZbinr called Josh Strife Hayes. I have played Smash Bros quite a bit but it was at my friends house ( who also played Gunz ), i've never owned a Nintendo console apart from the Wii. The game I moved onto from Gunz, I would say was Touhou, theres also Tera online which is sorta similar in a way, but not as good as Gunz.

One of my friends still say that he was amazed of my blank and dented keyboard keys out of pure finger friction.. this game was insane addictive and just like you, it is still the best game I played of my life. Always loved gunz, but like you said in the previous gunz video, someone new in the game at the time would be obliterated by the veterans without a chance to learn the game, thats whats happened to me, but I kept playing the game but nonetheless I never got good, then I tryed again after many years the game died in a private gunz server, well the same occured, I always wanted to rly lear how to play gunz and play aganist the others in a competitive way, even when the game was alive, I found a guy who was willing to teach me but EVEN F SO I never learned, oh well I still love gunz even if I never really played, so I hope you can take this project foward so we can see gunz alive again

Imagine this game comes back with a 2021 remake. Up to date graphics, UI, and the same mechanics.. It would definitely blow up.
