I instantly fell in love with her, but I agree on her price completely. I am considering cancelling the Symphony Miku to choose this one instead. I can't possibly afford having getting both of them in such a short time period. I think I will wait a couple more weeks, to see if the novelty doesn't wear off and if I still have this opinion, so I don't regret an impulsive decision.

A few factors come to mind. 1) Miku - she can just command it, 2) inflation and 3) Manufacturers testing market (such as foreigner/Katsushika Hokusai 1/7 scale for 35k yen). Honestly hoping there be more manufacturers such as Myethos that can make figures and keeping it to their roots of 16-18k yen (not saying this is cheap but at least comparatively easier to swallow).

The Miku effect is real ! I remember not buying figures above 20k yen because I thought it was too expensive and here I am now thinking about a 30k yen figure . This is becoming the new normal 😭 I totally agree ! Hopefully there will be more companies that can make quality figures at a better price point ~

@@aivi.10n If the new norm is about manufacturers making better figures/base than it ever has been then I think the price increase is justifiable. I am quite up for that since I mostly fall under the “buy one (only) - buy good” mindset. I can only pray for the Miku followers that manufacturers like Apex, Myethos or Kotobukiya can try their hand at her..we definitely need more of the in between to bridge the pricing gap. PS: I am not into Miku but a lot of my friends are huge followers and I feel for them.. personally I be frightened by the sheer number of good Miku I have to buy if I were keen.

Ahh a very tough decision ! Honestly I think the 2022 chinese new year figure is much more unique; so much details in the pose & the base ~ But I like 2021 with you outfit more and the added colors in the flowers are so pretty 🤔

I am still debating bewteen her and symphony, because i lost her pre order , so i would have to buy her after the release, and for now i just can buy from amiami , even being expansive shes so beautiful, and with her color palette she will fit my collection better, but ll have a nendo version so... I am so sorry for the late response ! Not sure how I missed your comment T_T So true ! I'm starting to see more and more figures not really worth their price 😞 . Licensing fees must have gone up or they're really trying to squeeze us . I love Miku's eyes and face on the solwa figure but I really cannot justify 240+ for her especially given such a simple pose and base :/

For UK shoppers, amiami with surface Mail would most likely be cheapest. I really wish we had a shop like Tokyo Otaku Mode in the UK or Europe, they get so much stuff and have good discounts and memberships, but obviously only if you live in the US :(

I will not spend more than $200 on a figure (not including shipping). F-Nex prices over the past 2 years shot up soooo much. Can't even get the MM figures the past 2 years. I pre-ordered the My Little Pony/Hatsune Miku figure & that is very reasonably priced. Pretty soon i will only to afford prize figures if the prices keep on going up

The my little pony Miku was priced fairly well~ I have been thinking about if I should just stick to nendoroids or reduce the number of figures I buy and splurge on 1 or 2. Prize figures are a good option too ~

i honestly believe the price is upped with miku figures now is because of furyu. ever since furyu started making and probably owning more rights to making miku figures they have totally changed the market for miku figures, but goodsmile has proved that they can make beautiful miku figures and still have a considerable price so i honestly think its just furyu being greedy
