How does somebody like Yellen get a job like that? I entirely agree with Collin's summation that this bailout endorses banks that mismanage risk and are either already or soon will be bankrupt, and the only one who pays are depositors all around the banking system who will pay higher fees. Those banks get a free pass. It seems to me that the law or regulation is being misinterpreted to allow its use in this situation. GOP, take the issue to the SCOTUS, for a ruling.

They use emergency powers regardless of the facts. SVB had a specific problem that by law might have cost depositors and investors some money at the worst. Biden has used emergency power repeatedly to avoid the legislative process. Here Yellen is using systemic emergency to set up more regulation of banking system. Poco Warren will full guaranty of deposits to nationalizing the banking system as in communist countries and banana republics. Yellen is way overplaying her hand and should be considered in the same catagory as Fauci.

The problem is not the "run on the bank" it IS the irresponsible bank, and a failure of fractional reserve banking. Banks should have at least 25% highly liquid assets not the less than 1%.
