So I'm an American and I see a lot of similarities to the Republicans of old. For years, they kept talking about Ronald Reagan and everybody tried to be like him. (Of course, Trump ended all that.) The comparison to Margaret Thatcher is the same thing. The Tories see the '80s as the golden era. Now they are looking for someone to emulate her. Liz Truss thought she was the next Thatcher. Now Kemi thinks she is the one. I saw a clip recently where it was said that instead of a handbag she has braids and glasses. Gimme a break.

Imagine being a patriotic Englishman or woman and selecting... Olukemi "Kemi" Olufunto Adegoke Badenoch as the leader of your so-called conservative political party. What is an African, who didn't even grow up in the UK (she repatriated to Nigeria), doing leading the party meant to safeguard traditions and liberty in Britain, while protecting the interests of the groups indigenous to that land: the English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish. Last I checked, the Yoruba tribe wasn't part of the family of British nations! Admit it, you cretins: you boomers thought you were being clever in selecting a black lady because that, you believed, would insulate you from accusations of "racism". It won't and you've made a mockery out of your political party. Maybe Olukemi will twerk across from the despatch box!

I heard her interviewed today and she honestly thought that a reasonable answer re Partgate was that she didn't agree with the way the country was shut down. I mean WTAF - does she not understand that as her party made the law it was duty bound, as we all were, to follow it!!!! More of the same. Too dim to realise that is not the point!!!

Stop hating on people who are brave enough to do bold things like Kemi has demonstrated. It's why your country is crumbling.
