Hope you enjoyed salisbury! When you zoomed in on the cheerwine building, that was the old cheerwine bottling plant which is now turned into condos. About 10 total. The new bottling plant is off another 85 exit. Thanks for visiting

I was wondering where the new bottling plant was. Thanks for the info. And thanks for watching.

Thanks for the tour seems like a quiet surviving small town. With more people moving to Charlotte, theres lots of potential over the next 10 years for this place to take a turn for the better.

You’re welcome. And I agree, lots of potential.

Go about 4 blocks down & try your luck. Sadly the crime is getting way out of control.

Must have been a magnificent town in it's heyday. Some fine old buildings. A lot of history at Salisbury, that pre-dates the revolutionary war. Thanks for your videos.

Lots of History there for sure. Thanks for watching. 👍

The brick road was placed in 2014, it was pavement before hand (which I like the brick better) the theatres were play theatres. The movie theater is with the franchises beside food lion, but yes the second one you looked at is still a theatre

Does Salisbury still have a high crime rate? I know they use to.
@TimothyFrench3 жыл бұрын
From what I read, the rate came down from 2019 to 2020 but has increased in some areas from 2020 to 2021. I never felt unsafe while filming the video and the downtown area was clean.

The block with all the empty stores is waIting for funding to restore the Empire Hotel into condos and store fronts. Brick buildings came with the railroad, bigger than Charlotte at the time. Thats why the Confederate prison was located here and many union soldiers died here as they could not feed 10,000. That building on the corner, brick 3 story was considered the first brick highrise in the state. The other side of the street (tall one) was the first steel highrise in the state. You missed many historical houses on Fulton. And its shotsbury... Democrat majority.

@TheHunTwo2 жыл бұрын
To the locals it is called “Crimebury.” It’s a dump, man and we left seven years ago because of the corruption in the Democratic stronghold city and corruption in the good old boy police department.

No it's called shotsbury. And it's 75% republican but nice try
@skylarsartnphotography3450 Жыл бұрын
Both parties are horrible and they really do scam the poor voters who are under an illusion that their party is the right one 😐 as many years these 2 parties have ruled the land, they've had plenty of time to prove they can improve things, but over the years, its all been a big Fail!
@adavidson52475 ай бұрын
@vincentvalentine9417 Nice try yourself. First comment was correct. Crimesbury & Shotsbury, does it really matter? This town is definitely not a Republican run place, that obvious as hell. Lived here over 30 years.

Shotsbury N.C., lived in Rowan Co. for 32 years and hate to come to town now a days! All of these empty properties should be a clue to you Sherlock! Give us a walk and talk after dark and let us know how that goes...
