Doc Blanchard won the heisman trophy in 1945 and he flew over 100 misiones in Vietnam. He is in the college footballl hall of fame. He was born in Mccoll Sc.

It's just another drive thru town that has seen better days. Beautiful old bank buildings and other seemingly well built structures lay empty. Was happy to see a couple of open stores that looked very nice, so maybe there is hope afterall.

The citizens definitely need to put pressure on their local representatives and let them know this is unacceptable. And they also need to support those small businesses risking money by being the first ones in there. If they don't, they will just become another interstate chain town like so many others.
