My Ancestors came from Cheraw to North Carolina in the 1700s ive never been but its definitely a place on my list too visit im 46 now I appreciate God's Beauty Thankyou for This Wonder Video!! ❤❤ Proud of my Tribe/Heritages!!

Thank you for visiting my hometown. We have so much history in our little town. The peach cobbler factory was in the process of opening when you were there. The large building at the end of Market St was our new hotel Spring hill aspires. The stone building on the corner was the South Carolina National Bank and the two story building with the green bottom was a market where farmers sold their goods. You correctly pronounced the museums name. Dizzy Gillespie accidentally bent his trumpet but loved the sound it produced so he continued using it.the police department building was a train depot. Hope you or your subscribers will visit again. Our spring festival is the first weekend in April and we have a jazz festival in October.

I loved spending my summers there with my dad and grandparents. looking to move back this year. will always be the prettiest town in dixie !

That was a fantastic, enjoyable tour of Cheraw, SC, Timothy! Cheraw's town center is very nice, very clean and well maintained. I truly hope that Cheraw's abundant vacant retail spaces get re-energized in order to attract new businesses who will provide a plethora of new services, shops and entertainment venues for the townspeople to benefit from, patronize and enjoy, in their own town center where said shops belong. You can clearly see that Cheraw's town center use to be a bustling major shopping hub with tons of ample parking everywhere; one that people came from all around to see, enjoy, and patronize.

Cheraw, SC is about 9 miles from the NC/SC state line.
