2-3 years ago at the youth cup final vs Forest, I went to the match and 2 players stood out so much that I rang my mate on the way back home and said these exact words: Mainoo and Garnacho will be 1st team players for us. I haven’t seen our academy ever produce a player so rounded and competent at almost every aspect of the game. We have a special, special talent on our hands!

We're extremely lucky to have him at United he's special and he could become the Captain if Bruno leaves hopefully not but he'll be a leader atleast at some point in his career Kobbie is a Star the Future of United he's untouchable we should insert a £500M+ release clause on his contract which will be extremely smart.

Kobbie truly is a special talent. I’m not even a United fan but I love to watch him play. It’s a big contrast regarding composure during build up compared to Bellingham. Bellingham is a good player. I see him more of a selfish player. I hope he gets a good run without major injury and most importantly he doesn’t get burnout with how ETH rarely gives players rest. Pedri is an example of this.

He's always making great choices, whether it's bwing available as an outlet (sadly underused by England), finding spaces, making space for others with his intelligent positioning, his progressive and fearless runs, his press resistance and his vision... He represents everything that I love about the club, and his talent surpasses anything I've seen in my life time, come through the academy. The best players I've seen come through are the class of 92 obviously, with Scholes imo the standout. Then more recently Greenwood (who is gladly going to leave fully soon). But imo, Mainoo is better than them all, ability wise he is in the same world as Beckham, Scholes, Giggs and Greenwood. Very different player to them, but incredibly talented, just like the names I mentioned. What makes Mainoo stand even higher (as a young player coming through) is his understanding of the game. I'm sure he'll make mistakes throughout his development, but his calmness on the ball, intelligence on the picture is honestly mind-blowing. The last time I think I've seen something similar was Cesc Fabregas when he broke into Arsenal's first team. Experience beyond his years which takes his talent level even higher. Incredible to witness.
