Thank you! Got my Ukulele yesterday and already got 90% of the song so far. For those who are struggling with the Strumm/Rythm: 1. watch the strumm tutorial first, the link is in the description 2. Try to play each chord by counting 1,2,3,4 (like he does in the video) 3. Then try to play each chords only with strumming down: (Down, Down, Down, Down) 4. Then: Down-Up, Down-up, Down-up, Down-up (don't forget to count) 5. Pratice each step until you got the counting and strumming right and feel comfy with it 6. Then try to get the rhythm as he told in in the video Hope this helps a bit. For me it was the best way to practice. Hope I got the english right, because I'm not a native speaker

the G chord on Uke is the same as the D chord on guitar :-) if ya finding it hard ..swap ya fingers around or just use the pointer finger and middle finger(flatten the pointer finger out to cover the 3 strings on the second fret then put your middle finger down on the 3rd fret E string) i play the D chord of guitar different allot of people cos my fingers dont bend that way or something lol. the G on uke is the same thing. good luck! ukulele is so much fun! :-D and ya can play hundreds of songs with just 3 chords lol

It is very important not to judge yourself, there was a time when your favorite musician did not even know how to hold the instrument they play. If you are patient with yourself and consistent learning to play the ukulele can change your life. YOU CAN DO THIS! If you feel frustrated leave a comment and I will do my best to encourage you.

Thank you for the video! I saw it on a webpage about 42 easy ukelele songs for beginners. It's very explainatory and goes in a slow enough space to be able to go along with it. The strokes aren't normal yet, but that takes time. Been wanting to play ukelele for the past 10+ years, but only today able to tune the ukelele. Which makes it weird to actually create a good sound out of it. I do play some beginners level guitar, but ukelele is something totally different!
@hummonity2935 жыл бұрын
If you don't have the ukelele but you do have a guitar. do this: Step 1: Get a capo Step 2: Put the capo the 5th thread Step 3: Play the bottom 4 strings Step 4: Enjoy PS : your "ukelele is huge and it is easy to touch ur finger 2 the other 2 strings but thats already good

This particular strum pattern has something called "sycnopation" and while this is a beginner song, this particular strum pattern isn't a great first strum pattern. You'll get it if you stick with it but in the mean time try this other 5 strum patterns that will be much easier to learn, you can even experiment with these strums and this particular song kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIusfnaEf7VkpKc

you simply just practice, or maybe your not pressing the strings hard enough that's why it sounds like a broken ukelele? And mine sounds ok it's just simply Dudududu, you just either use your thumb or index finger nail to strum down and up, I hope you learned how to strum now, cause I'm commenting very late, 8months late to be exact, have a good day 🤗

Not sure where to start with learning this instrument so I'm going to do it the same way I learned gaming, jump straight into a song and learn around that.
@TenThumbsProductions4 жыл бұрын
That is a good approach. Songs are made of strum patterns and chords, so you can think about those like different weapons in your games, the more weapons you have the more missions you can complete, the more chords and strum patterns you know the more songs you can play, so as you are learning songs make it a point to really be aware of the chords and strum patterns that you are learning. This lesson is worth watching just to make sure you have all your basis covered before you make any bad habits, after that songs songs songs songs songs. Good luck kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIW3qoawnNuJndk

Put your middle finger on the second fret of the first string (behind your ring finger on the c chord). Then you only have to move your index and ring finger to transition from c to g.

@TenThumbsProductions3 жыл бұрын
You got this! You’ll see as you are learning that songs are, especially beginner songs, really two elements. 1. A collection of chords (this is called harmony) 2. A strum pattern (this is called rhythm) The third part, the part you sing, is known as melody. And that’s it, all music is made of those 3 pieces. So every time you learn a new strum pattern or chord make a note, write it down, because you’ll start to see them repeat and then you’ll start to learn songs very quickly. Keep it close and play it a lot, you’ll do great!!!

I saw this video one day before my Ukulele arriving. The first day when it arrived I could barely make the C chord, and had no rhythm or did I know how to strum. After three days, a couple of other videos, some blisters in my index and middle finger and a lot of practice, I'm kinda being able to play the first part (without the Bdim7 part), but still struggle with the chord progression and the rhythm. Thanks for the great tutorial and the many videos you've posted along all these years. You make it way easier for those who want to start learning their favorite songs. I really appreciate it!
