Been trading for 4 years now, in the beginning i was strategy hoping until I found the Godfather(ICT). I’m consistently trading prop since about a year now, only blew challenges and 3 xfas. I’m at a point of complete frustration, but also know I’m taking the hard route. Only trading minis which is tough on a 50k account with only 2k drawdown. Most of the time once I get emotionally I neglect technicals and revenge trade, over trade and you name it. It’s definitely hard and not as easy at all like most influencers portray it. I refuse to give up though, every skill takes time to learn. If I’m still no where near profitability in 2 years from now on, then I might quit. I think 2025 will be a turning point though. And hopefully I’ll look back at this comment in 2-3 years and laugh at the tears and struggle I went through.

Hard disagree with the assertion that newbie traders shouldn't consider prop firms. The amount of risk from those is smaller on scale than that available from exploiting a savings pool. People shouldn't blow their savings. They should take the smallest risk they can. A prop firm will offer a sizable reward that will impact psychology and force adaption with a very modest investment. It's psychologically easier to trade a prop firm's money than personal. They are a stepping stone on the road to trading a personal account IMO. I'm speaking from experience here. I wish I knew about prop firms when I started. Would have saved me thousands of dollars, bruh. Get the experience as cheaply as possible.
