As a student, i often need to cook from the cheapest materials. My meals: fruit or oats for the breakfast, sometimes i do some sandwich too. For lunch i can combine the meals, to not waste nothing. Crumbed vegetables with tarhonya/lentils/rice, if eggwash left, then i make egg soup, if i made pasta, i will do garlic soup from the pasta water. I often cook some one-pot meals, like lentil or bean soups, or đuveč, for dinner i eat whats left from lunch, or fry/cook some eggs, and eat with vegetables. Cheap, tasty, and i hope to enough nutricious.

In italy, that pasta It's like the "oh i didn't think about what to cook for launch" Dish. And it's always really good. I suggest you to try it with spaghetti. It's probably the kind of pasta that gets along better with the kind of sauce. Also, if you have a sweet tooth, try to put just a pinch of sugar into the sauce. Believe me, it changes everything

In Aus, 250g of fresh cherry tomatoes is about $3.50. So to keep the cost down - I’d go for a can of cherry tomatoes, which will slightly alter the quality of the dish, but you’ll still get a decent flavour if it’s seasoned correctly 👍👍

lentils, chickpeas, beans, those are the CHEAPEST dishes you can make that are still filling and nutritional, there are lot of creative ways to cook them, make them into paste, dry with rice, add tomato and make pasta sauce, can be elevated wit something as simple as some chorizo or bacon, you can use them to fill burritos or tacos, to make patties for hamburgers, the possibilities are endless

Few months ago I tried making this oatmeal and I LOVED it! I don't really have access to the miso paste or sesame oil but I add soy sauce, drizzle of honey (to balance the salteness) and some garlic powder (to replace the scallion), then fried egg on top and bon appetit!

You should definitely try Rösti, which is the Swiss national breakfast dish. It is very cheap and healthy, but contains a lot of calories to start the day, but I never feel too full after this dish. It should be crispy and fried to a golden crust on the outside and soft like an omelet on the inside, which requires squeezing water from the potatoes before cooking.
@finn16662 жыл бұрын
you can also add vegetables, like peas and corn to it for taste & something a bit healthier

Great vid, and great pasta, but here's some tips from an Italian: 1. Next time try to chop in half the cherry tomatoes, or roughly dice just big tomatoes; 2. Don't over season pasta, pasta is about simplicity and a lot of seasoning is counterproductive, for example, to have a spicy taste use black pepper instead of chilli flakes; 3. Related to the previous point, italians never use garlic and onions at the same time, if you want to use them both you never mix them, cuz garlic ends up polluting the onions naturally sweet taste, you can fry a couple entire cloves in oil, and remove them when beyond golden, they release some flavour and you have perfect cooked super flavours garlic cloves great for spreading

I didn't have cilantro on hand so I substituted it with fresh dill, also I added 1 1/2 tbs of the capers liquid to the sauce to have a little bit of acidity on the sauce. It was DELICIOUS!
