5 days ago, RB suspended my account! I had over 2000+ designs there (60% were my creations, 20% were patterns and 20% were generic designs but altered by me) and I was an active member for 3 years now! And without any clear explanation! Only a generic email message with some hypothetical reasons! I made an appeal to their decision but I'm not expecting too much! The same Teepublic did to me some months ago! This is a shame! :(

Juna! I just printed some files I purchased from your site. Thanks for making it easier for me to organize as I'm putting the scalable design ideas and calender in a binder. I have an etsy shop, but want to, like you have shown, to have my designs on other sites as well. Graphic design is getting easier and easier for me. It used to take me a whole day to design something. Now I have templates ready to go, design, edit, and upload as I go. I stop the overthinking lol. I've been binge watching your channel since last year, and now I already have 10 designs uploaded.

Any advice on trademark ? Do you trademark a brand or items individually ?
@DetourShirts
@DetourShirts Жыл бұрын
I do not.... I think most t-shirt sellers are doing trademarks wrong... Trademarks are for a branding not for individual tshirt ideas. USPTO will trademark it for you and take your money but I believe it's really dumb. Soon every phrase in the english language will be trademarked.

Super motivational content. If you don´t mind me asking about the Asian text you use on the variation of Feline Lucky ... does it actually translate to say something in that language? What I mean is I´ve heard of people using Japanese Kanji (as an example) as more of a decorative element without knowing that it actually says something rather vulgar in translation. Just curious. Thanks Juna. I learn so much from you. 👍🏻

Yes it translates to lucky cat. I used google translate but you can also use the new translate feature in Canva

Hey Juna, I saw a video recently and you were talking about your 12 month calendar with all the holidays and stuff on it and you said we should design for two months out. When designing for things that are two months in the future, how many designs should we make for each niche. i.e. independence day, bride and groom, bbq?
@DetourShirts

Make as many as you can. 10 or more if possible

Thank you for this video… I love your kawaii style… I am now inspired to start my own print on demand store. 😊 Quick question: are there design considerations we need to think about while we design for print on demand? For example would gradients show up well on Tshirts or bags or would they look awkward? Would fine lines look good or would the colors bleed over. Is there a minimum line width we need to use? Is there any design style we need to avoid, for instance textures? Do we need to print out designs to test them?
@DetourShirts
@DetourShirts Жыл бұрын
Yes you should consider all those things but I don’t have any guidelines for it. The best way to find out if something is working is to print it out.

Hey Juna, this is a cool creative exercise. How do you manage to do a design a day, plus research, plus uploading, plus all your social media, plus your KZbin, plus your day job, plus eating/sleeping/housework and living life lol... you're a machine, brother. I wonder though, is this how to get to that kind of 10000 design mark where the sales become more regular and more passive? Or is it through recycling designs with variations (ie. 1sr Grader, Mom of a 1st Grader, Dad of a 1st Grader; 2nd grader, Mom of a... etc)? Or something else? What are your thoughts on having less designs (like say, 1 to 3 uploads a week), but a more robust social media marketing effort? Do you think this could achieve similar results to having a high volume upload approach? Thanks Juna
@DetourShirts
@DetourShirts Жыл бұрын
So it really depends how well you can figure out what sells. Some people can get sales with less. Some people need a lot more. If you like at some of the biggest sellers out there they have a ton of designs. To answer your question on how to do that many designs each day…. It just has to be a priority. I had a hard time keeping it up for a month because it meant other things need to be put on the side. Hope that helps
@zinnie6420
@zinnie6420 Жыл бұрын
@@DetourShirts Thanks Juna, it does help. I just personally like to create designs that run through several re-drafts before it is posted; and it I'm not happy with it, I don't want to post it, but let it sit on the back burner until I figure out how to ace it. That goes for both things i compose from scratch as well as things I make out of graphic elements. So I was hoping there was a way to for me to achieve similar results to high volume uploads with fewer designs that have been aggressively marketed. I hear that Zazzle works better with a less is more approach, but yeah, I guess if we're going to take advantage of the other platforms traffic, it's best to keep feeding the algorithm with more designs. Well, gotta keep grinding I guess... I'll do my best to emulate your discipline. Peace out man
