The shade was the easy part since I had the shelf liner. Fabric could also be used or dollshouse paper. So easy. I was planning on a simple stir stick window with the shade but I got lofty ideas instead. 😂😍✨

I printed a view from Google images and put it behind a window in my doll cupboard. Now, when the dolls do dishes, they can look out over the vegetable garden and down the hill. Wink wink. 😉

@@papabear2515 Hi Kathleen. I got a stack of that shelf paper ages ago at a thrift shop cheaaap! Each pkg is about 4-5 feet long by about 12" wide with the little border. Most of the other ones I have are from the 50s but this one was a little older. I like having count of reference (like my own window) but the rest is usually by the seat of my pants 🤭 I'm so happy how it turned out. 🥰✨

I love the window, the shade, and the ocean view!! Adding the view does so much for the dollhouse, giving it a context and a place in the world! ❤ I'm so like you! "Make it work!" is my motto. Though I have gotten to the point, if things bug me enough, of being willing to redo them. But only if they keep bugging me!

Hello Dot, your window looks wonderful, love the shade and the latches. I always glue acetate with tacky or wood glue, it always works fine for me, I do know your not supposed to stick it down with super glue because it will make it cloudy, but any other glue that dries clear will work. Yes! Why didn't I do that? I know the clump squishes and bleeds thru. Luckily I only had minimal bleeding and was able to wipe it off easily. I think I was worried the acetate wouldn't stick. 😍✨
