The fact that the driver is faster than the wrench is surprising since the wrench is supposed to be more powerful with torque and the crazy thing is I actually saw a video on here while doing research on the hercules impact driver and a guy actually used it as a impact wrench to take off the lug nuts to a ram and it did a really good job so for $69 I think Ima buy this over the Bauer

I've messaged harbor freight about the lack of power on their compact impacts a few times already but never heard back. I can't loosen lugs, I can barely loosen 14mm bolts and even then I might have to loosen them by hand first. The compact impacts are the only Hercules tools im disappointed by, and I own 85% of them. I mean how do you take a step backward by making you second gen tool even weaker than the first? When other companies do that it's because they're making sub-compact models (ridgid sub-compact, dewalt atomic, makita sub-compact) so thats understandable but to keep the same size and lose power is idiotic. Great job on the Frankenstein, I'm definitely going to look into it the next time I see a Hercules impact driver for $25 on offerup
@Kaleb_RoSs7 ай бұрын
I agree 100% this is the only Hercules tool I got that has truly let me down, hence the decision to modify the driver.

I have both of those. I was hoping harbor freight would make a 3/8" drive version of the driver. I kept breaking the 1/4" hex to 3/8" adapters but its actually a nice tool especially for the price.

I figured out today that the anvil from a dewalt dcf923 anvil works much better and is easier to convert with. I hope Hercules starts making something like this soon.

wow, you have so many talent mechanical wise. thank you for sharing your good idea. that looks way better. I've always wondered why mid, high torque wrenches must have hemispherical head.
@aaronatwood929819 күн бұрын
The big issue is that they slowed the motor down. Put the electronics from driver into impact wrench. Also without that back plate on to support the rear bearing, it will make noise and struggle.
