maybe you could buy boxes to put the dvd’s in. i would also try to use the shelves as decorating points and not just storage. for example, don’t put all the photo albums in one compartment. separate them out so they’re more of a decoration than just storage

I honestly think all those mini shelves in your dining room look really nice now you’ve put things in them! Maybe just make the top two rows of tiny boxes/holes into two long shelves instead of ripping the whole thing out!? Cheaper too, just an idea! :) xx

I love the cubbies in your dining room! I think you should look for some cute wooden/ woven baskets for your top cubbies to put your DVDs in so they can hide all the colors but still be easy to access in baskets! LOVE all your decorating and pairing you’ve done so far!

A few ideas for the dvds. You could either...Get some nice containers to put them in or dvd drawer thingies, or slip a piece of nice colured paper/cardstock in the dvd sleeve and write the dvd name on the spine or corner, or get some cupboard doors for that part of your shelving. The shelves are great imo as it gives you so much storage. Just a case of prettying it all up a bit.

I like the dark wardrobe, it might just look a bit odd because the walls are white and it's a stark contrast. Might look better if the walls were a slightly darker colour? A nice shade of grey perhaps, but then the room would have a darker feel so it's up to personal preference.

Hey!! I’m also decorating a house I’ve just bought. I’ve been using Dulex brilliant white once coat gloss. It’s a life saver, don’t need to do 3 coats on the woodwork then!

You can also get satinwood for wood and metal (for your fire place) and satinwood has a lower sheen so not as shiny! Again can get it in once coat with Dulex

still love the leaf pic against your dark wall and sofa, and goes nice in room with all your plants and the vase. not always in dark but I didn't mind the wardrobes as you had some dark accents in rug, Amy painting and tiles of fireplace, so went well, just good to make sure doesn't shrink room, or have great lighting feature that will lighten whole room, even in winter, loving decor so far

I’ve been painting my house for the summer also, the key with taping off walls/shelves is to take the tape off as soon as you finish! Don’t let it dry or it will peel off ☹️

Loving the vlogs! I had a similar problem with my shower, it would be either freezing cold or burning hot and it would change on its own it was so annoying.. but it actually „fixed itself“ after a couple of weeks. I think it was because it hadn’t been used for a few months before i moved in, but idk for sure. It works like a charm now

I THINK I KNOW WHY YOU DONT LIKE THE DARK WARDROBES! what if it is because the inside of your bedroom door is still white and it is a huge contrast? maybe if you paint the back of the door the dark color too it will look even better!? I love the dark color! I also really love the huge wall of shelves but that is just the book nerd in me wanting to fill the space with books haha. I understand tho why you wouldn't. If your DVDs are too colorful you could turn them around so that the other side shows instead since most DVD cases are black or white. Not very practical if you watch them a lot but it could be more aesthetically pleasing! :)
