When I saw the thumbnail, I thought that I was going to get bass guitar building tips and/or ideas. I was previously thinking of building a Bo Diddly styled base guitar (a rectangular shaped body with a ready made bass neck). However, I was taken aback when I saw what they were doing! Ya know, it wouldn't be that hard to fix the intonation- just put a block between the neck and that metal bracket, use a longer bolt. Measure the length from the nut to the 12th fret, you want to make the distance from the 12th fret to the bridge just a hair longer, by like a couple millimeters. (I'm a hobby luthier, I build weird stuff from time to time too)
