I love it! The piecing of the skirt was an excellent choice because the length is perfect. I can’t tell that it’s pieced even in the thumbnail. Cheers to dead stock metal zippers!

Aww thank you so much! And I always love to use metal zips, I find they work better and longer for me. (Also because I still have memories of accidentally getting zipped into them as a kid).

I love this so much!! The ribbon looks amazing!! Just a suggestion for the seam you could use the white pompom trim and it would look like snowballs that could be mimicked at the hem. Also if you do eventually take it in you can permanently attach the red ribbon at the waist by cutting the ends and turning them under. Then make a bow that snaps on after you zip it. Then you'll never have to hunt that ribbon down when you want to wear it.

I like to see the piecing. I have always done this when I have a limited amount of fabric but know I can make it fit somehow. I didn't know that so many people did that also. 🥰👍

This is such a great dress. I love the red ribbon belt - it actually looks really intentional! After you add the rickrack/ribbon/whatever to cover thw piecing it may need a different colour but it's lovely right now. And I know what you mean about the white bodice - my boobs seem to frequently be hungry too!

the piecing could have been a yolk or gathering tier but it blended in just lovely as is ☺️ a ruffle on the hem would be another option but i think the trees look better balanced on the bottom!
