OOf, right in the feels. Your beautiful little diorama reminded me of my mom's ceramic Christmas village we would put out every year. A few years ago we visited Stockbridge, MA, where that Rockwell scene is from, and then my daughter did a cross stitch of that scene (which is really cool), and now you've added a completely new dimension to it. I've saved this video to my Favorites file. I'm of an age (nearing 70) where I'm downsizing, which includes buying my first artificial tree; it's all of 2ft tall and occupies the top of my treadle sewing machine in my studio apartment window. The wire tree comes pre-lit and I've festooned it with 1in diameter glass ornaments, 2.4in glass icicles, a hand-strung popcorn garland, and a yellow cardstock 5-pointed star at its top. Your video pointed out to me how easy it would be to make a little Christmas Village to circle the base of the tree. I have a background that includes cabinetmaking, electronics, and architectural modelmaking, so doing this should not be difficult for me. Who knows; maybe it will open a whole new side business for myself...
