I really like the technique...but could you do one with voice over so i know what materials and processes you're using? I know it sounds silly but this one of those situation that I really want to try this, but i need the instructions as well as the visuals

I find my videos with voice over get less views... but I'm happy to answer any questions you have about the materials.

I have been looking for a tutorial like this for a good long while.Well done, you did an excellent job Dark Nook.
@DarkNookShop Жыл бұрын
Thanks... there are better ways to do this, using a 2 piece mold... and molding the hands separately... But I wanted to see if I could do it with just a one piece mold.

You are welcome Dark Nook. You actually did a pretty good job,trying things out and experimenting is part of the artistic process.

Thank you! I want to use this technique to make a Muppet head and a freddy worm puppet!
@DarkNookShop4 ай бұрын
I've been thinking about making a Freddy worm... using this technique for the head, and then just a flat latex sheet, rolled over the forearm to make the body. Truth is, I'm just lazy and don't like making multi-part molds.

What clay are you using buddy? I have a very difficult idea and this seems much better than making it from foam. You can also make as many as you want which i love! Secondary question, how did you go about making it the right size for your hand?
@DarkNookShop Жыл бұрын
I'm using regular plastiline clay to sculpt it... and I just sculpt it big enough to fit my hand.

This is Amazing!!! What material did you use to create the mold? And where did you buy it?, This is my first time molding something and I would like to follow this tutorial.
@DarkNookShop24 күн бұрын
That mold was just plaster cement. But I screwed it up and it started setting too fast, so i had to thin it down, which made it very weak. I recommend "Hydro-cal white" or "Ultra-cal 30" and you can get them at masonry supply places... some hardware stores... or some art supply stores.
