I made a decorated cookie of Ariel from The Little Mermaid (2023)

My dad brought me to see The Little Mermaid when I was a kid and I’m so excited to do the same with my daughters to see the live action version! You know I love celebrating special occasions with sweets, so I made this decorated cookie of Ariel who’s played by Halle Bailey in the movie.
It took me about 2 hours to paint it using edible paint from Sweet Sticks, which doesn’t include all the time it takes to make the icing, mix the icing colors, and let it dry. Overall it’s a 2 day process. It’s a lot of work but I LOVE it!!

Honestly this. Ariel was my only red headed role model as a little kid and I was her every year for Halloween simply because of how much I loved her character and everything. Sang her songs all the time. Watched her movie on constant repeat. I literally wanted to be just like Ariel in different ways as a little kid. People talk so much about representation, but they fail to see how much rep Ariel gave red head kids growing up where we were called soulless and Carrot Top and so many other things for our hair we had. Ariel should have kept that amazing red hair.

@@thewitchstarot6975 The movie could have used some color since it’s a Disney movie which used to mean full of magic and life. The ocean scenes should have been so much better lit and designed. Her red hair was her most iconic look. Without that, she isn’t Ariel.
