Beautiful mate, I like the half design. You could potentially place magnets on the flat side of 2 grenades to make a whole. Good way to sell 2 to a potential customer who could give the other half to a loved one.

Gold is non Magnetic, but this could work with steel inserts in one side and magnets in the other, only problem would be making sure the two sides match up perfectly once joined, and making sure it is strong enough to not fall apart on its own.

@@sirfirehare yes correct gold is non magnetic or diamagnetic, my thoughts were to use 3mm diameter neodymium magnet, drill a hole deep enough to house it, solder a lid to cover it ( which would be the tricky part because too much heat over a magnet can actually de-magnetize said magnet, but there might be a way around it) and repeat in the same spot on the opposite piece. Just an idea though
