Photographer here, try putting the light more towards the front of the tank to illuminate the fish more. Lighting angle is key when it comes to photography and right now your illuminating the back of the fish because light is far back and they are swimming at the front of the tank

Yep very good point indeed! I did realise that when I was making the actual pictures. And also found that I need to play around with the light a bit, depending on where the fish is. Have made some decent pictures off camera now, which I will share on my community tab at a later date!

I would put white gravel in the white one and black gravel in the black one when it is ready. Nice pics. I really hope the Betta decides to breed. He is impressive.

Yeah that’s a good idea actually! Definitely for like the bottom dwellers. And maybe I should at a plant too? To make it a little more natural? Only thing is I have to empty and refill it every time! Not a big deal though!

@@jtkeepingfish The gravel will stay clean because the fish will only be in it for a short time.

This is a fantastic idea, Jack! It looks like the further forward you move the light the brighter and better the image is? Are the enclosures glass or acrylic? Reason I ask is if they are acrylic a liquid acrylic cement might be much easier than silicone. Just a thought. 🙂Anyway, you've given me some great ideas, Jack. Thanks! ~Ron

Thanks Ron! Yeah that’s correct, I kinda need to move the light depending on where the fish is, for example if the fish is in the back then move the light to the back and vice versa. The tanks are glass, so a blob of silicone should do the trick.

Yeah I know, but the quality isn’t as good. So I like to use my professional camera!
