I feel like there would be a market for your imperfect froggers amongst the fan base. Call them Frog Orphans (Froggerphans?), give them a spooky zombie or Ugly Dolls makeover as befits their specific physical anomalies, and then put them up for adoption/sale. If nothing else, discounted "imperfect" goods tend to find good homes.

Even though the globe didn't turn out super clear, it honestly kinda just gives off the vibe that the glass is just frosted over from the cold. the cloudiness makes it look like it is a full on blizzard, thus making it more cold and magical, and realistic. Good job
@SaraAson5 күн бұрын
You should absolutely try remaking it next year! It might not be traditional for a snowglobe but you could put a hole in the top and turn the plug into a santa hat you can get small rubber rings used for plumbing that should keep it tight enough to shake without gluing the plug in, that should make it easier to fill up and let you top it up occasionally as all tend to lose water to evaporation eventually.
@kat_aclysm5 күн бұрын
If you'd like another method for the 'glass' bowl that would eliminate the frosted-glass issue next time, try 3D-printing your bowl shape (with very small layer height), then sand it with 400 ~ 600 grit until smooth. Then make a one-part silicone mould out of it and slush-cast in clear two-part resin (the stuff from Total Boat is great for this). Good luck!
@alicedeeznuts3 күн бұрын
Molding would definitely be the best way to get bubble-free resin, but 400-600 grit won't cut it. You'd need to go into polishing paste territories, so more like 6000 grit.

I might have an idea for the little dome froggy that was supposed to be the dry version; Illuminated Santa Dome Frog. Since the break left his face and arms intact, and is pretty clean from side to side, you could make him a massive santa hat out of the normal non-clear resin to cover his whole back bit and hide the break line under the white trimm at the bottom of the hat, and add fairy lights to the inside of the dome. (with a little opening for the cable) So when looking at his little face from the front we can still see the scene within, which would be more pronounced by the solid background provided by the hat containing and contrasting the lights. (note: I'm not a native english speaker, so my apologise if the way I wrote this is a little all over the place ^^')
