The Rangerette looks great! Well done! Faces ARE difficult, because they're anonymous, yet not. When you don't do it correctly, it sometimes can be hard to know why it wrong. I wonder if you could have steamed a large piece of leather, and then somehow vacuum-formed it over a styrofoam wig head or something... it would certainly saved time if it worked. Anyway, stellar work, as usual. :)

Isn’t it interesting… that what we see the most of, can distinguish people by, the face is also the most difficult to recreate? Minute details and a Person can be unrecognizable or look grotesque or uncanny… yet a caricature of someone only needs certain details in relation to another, and most people get who the caricature is of. Fascinating

I love your work - One thought regarding the Rangerette (and maybe other projects) - I think you could add some depth/realism to the sculptures by painting in some self-shadowing (Ambient Occlusion). I think some shading could add a very subtle pop to complex shapes like the human form

You may have better luck with Free Form Air than Free Form Sculpt, at least I have. I also don't wear gloves but I use a water based hand lotion beforehand (hands still smell afterwards though but it doesn't stick). Also let it sit a minute after mixing for lower detail base layers, it works more like Apoxie Sculpt that way. I wish I had a quarter of your talent brother. Awesome work as always.
@connoroleary35914 сағат бұрын
if you try that epoxy clay again you want to get the major work done then ad water with a damp finger or tool to smooth out the finish surface rather than mix in water. its great for tons of sculpting things, though it really doesn't like to stick to insulation foam, I tried to skin an insulation foam sculpt with some the other day and gave up.
