I don't think I'll ever be into building dioramas, but if I did, I would love to do the orbital entry scene from 0079 with melting shield and exploding zaku in the background.

That sounds like a friggin awesome idea for a diorama. Lot's of interesting techniques to consider. That would have so many interesting layers to it.
@fattiger69576 ай бұрын
@@GiantRobolove yeah exactly! You got the Gundam hiding behind his burning shield, the zaku exploding in the background and the glowing Earth below. Would be amazing to see in diorama form.

I hope you know this is friggin awesome! I feel like the dio stuff is becoming real easy for you. You make it look like so. 🙌🏼 Excited for the next one brotha!

Thanks my friend. It's true that some things become easier with practice. Pair that with fun and it's a wonderful way to spend one's free time :D

Good stuff man, always impressed with your ideas, super different. Always very inspiring. Makes me wanna build another diorama sometime. You should look into controlling the LEDs with an arduino, that way you can add breathing effects to the LEDs, the ones that you are using seem to be addressable so you can do all sorts of cool stuff, plus you get a USB power source so no swapping batteries out.
@GiantRobolove6 ай бұрын
Thank you my friend! I hope you do build one again in the future. The one you did had a tight deadline, so maybe that was a bit stressful. But I bet you would come up with great stuff when you have to let your ideas simmer. Yeah, the arduino. I've looked into it. But that would mean I would have to learn how to program stuff 😅 But yeah, definitely something to look into for the future. Next step will be incorporating a reed switch into a diorama. I actually bought them right after I saw your Z'Gok video haha.
@comradegunpla6 ай бұрын
@@GiantRobolove That video needs updating, lol, you can get an SMD (surface mount) version of a reed switch that's a lot smaller so you can fit it into any kit, but it's way harder to solder.
@GiantRobolove6 ай бұрын
Maybe you get around doing the update soon ;) Exploring that LED stuff is really fun. I'm going to try a Nu Gundam build with funnels soon. There are plans in my head, but it needs more planning I guess haha

Thank you! It remains one of my favorite builds to date :) And yeah, sorry about the grain. My camera is long outdated and its low light capabilities are not the best. It was the only way to show off the glowing, by bumping up the ISO to the max value.

Where did you buy those LED strips? Would you mind sending a link or the name of the lights? I'm really liking how there's not a heavy purple hue which would make some details hard to see.
