Best DIY video for a vardo. Most do not take into consideration the need for light weight materials--they are trying to build a house instead of a moving vehicle. You realize that it needs to be light to be mobile. Kudos!

Nicely done!! I have found that using a long sliver of wood or plywood instead of a string, gives a much more uniform arch. Also i would of probably ran the roof plywood perpendicular so that the joints fell in the middle of the roof rafters, so that it could be sealed better.

Such type of wagons are very good source of living for poor homeless people,in a small space they can live safely,stay away from cold,rain,snow and cold winds,their belongings are safe and the person it self,also good to keep safe from wild animals.
@sanjoyroystravelblog54132 жыл бұрын
It is a lesson from you that old age is not meaningless one. Those who are habituated to work hard can build such a beautiful wagon. You grand child is so enthusiastic that muddy filed is not a big issue for him. I like seeing it that your little grand child also use gamboot to walk in mud. But it is not common in India. Here specifically village peoples walk in mud with bare foot even in rainy season.
@truetexan77555 жыл бұрын
I would definitely upgrade the tires . It must be a lot heavier than originally manufactured spec. Also upgrade to heavier axle, and possibly trailer brakes
@TimTools995 жыл бұрын
The tires are new 6-ply. The weight is actually less than the original pop-up camper. This Gypsy Wagon is basically a lightweight shell with a bed in it. Ha! I hauled it for a weekend event and my Durango pulled it pretty easy ... oh and the trailer has brakes. I don't ever plan to haul this thing very far so if I have a breakdown ...I can call my son for rescue. Ha! Thanks for watching.
@JesusIsaFlatEarther5 жыл бұрын
I too was wondering about the weight. I just got an old popup camper and working on what to do with it, I don't need a utility trailer and this seems like a great idea.
@posteroonie4 жыл бұрын
@@JesusIsaFlatEarther When I first saw the video I thought maybe he just replaced the canvas top part of the pop-up, keeping the stove, fridge, etc. If the canvas is shot anyhow, why not? Maybe cantilever a sleeping platform off the back.
@JesusIsaFlatEarther4 жыл бұрын
@@posteroonie I've watched so many tiny home video's, when I go look at a traditional trailer or RV, they do nothing for me, even if I had that kind of money to waste. What pisses me off, if the average person can make do with 72 sq. feet, why don't the build apartments like that for single people, so they can save money and get ahead? It seems like the whole system is designed by bankers and loan officers. Do pickup trucks really need to cost $25,000 plus?
