These personal vlogs are the best. A touch of the Last Frontier but a lot more casual. Great editing. 👍👍

Eivin, I’ve always enjoyed the videos of you hunting on Alaska The Last Frontier and now on your KZbin channel. I’m surprised that you went so long without scoping yourself, it happens to even the most experienced hunters from time to time. Congratulations on bringing home some meat for your family.

I just finished my Michigan deer hunt and was successful. We traveled to Alaska in 2022 for 3 months and even stopped by your homestead and met your Aunt Sunrise, we couldn't fit the homestead tour into our schedule but got a good feeling of the Homer area. You are blessed to have a cool upbringing on the homestead. Thanks for the great content you and your family provides!

I know the video is older, but I added a couple of places like Homer to my Sunrise Sunset app, it is amazing how huge Alaska is. Barrow, no sun. Homer 10 am to 4:30 pm. From 71 degrees to 49 for Homer. Sitka is 47. I know I should use the native names but I am old. I barely remember the white man names...

I’ve never been scoped. But that tells me you never set your scope relief up correctly. I’ve shot a hard kicking 300 RUM a lot and never been even kissed by a scope. Glad you recovered and never got scope shy on your next opportunity.

You know where your meat comes from. That's a good thing as prices for meat intown is outrages not to mention who knows where it came from. I buy from a young couple here in NE Florida. They raise good organic beef. It is so worth the price. I did get to go hunting with my 38 yr old daughter in Wyoming last year. She had an Elk cow tag and she got a nice one. I helped her clean it in the field. Granny got to take home a whole back strap. I got a whole back strap that was delicious

My dad, now passed, told us about a lot of deer thrown in the back of “puddle jumpers” in Alaska. People in the lower 48 have a different mind set about these things. 🖖💙
@kilcher_homestead6 сағат бұрын
My hands don't get cold very easily, I get that from my dad and grandfather. When I was a kid my hands got cold and I remember my dad working with steel tow chain in the snow and I asked if his hands were cold and he said they are Hot! I remember feeling them and thinking there were so much warmer than mine. I could steam coming off of them in the child air. As I got older my hands stopped getting cold. Think it has to do with some genetics and also some just lifestyle in Alaska. But they do get cold if they are wet and I have to ride a snowmobile or ATV bare handed. But that has to do with wind chill.
@CindyASanchez4 сағат бұрын
Oh no, sick, smacked your nose, bleeding and missed the deer! I think you’re not thinking clear because your sick and need to drink Eve and Sparrow’s juice!!! I’m sorry! 😢
@logpile13185 сағат бұрын
Blurring out the deer is really annoying you should be able to show the whole process so to me it defeats the purpose of a hunting video because the deer has to be dressed out just like pulling the trigger, if people get offended they can gi watch a taylor swift video.
@kilcher_homestead5 сағат бұрын
I completely agree, unfortunately this is a KZbin policy that I can't show that part of the process and I could loose my channel if I show that. So I have to adhere to the YT policy.
