@hitopswagg103 жыл бұрын
you’re either pushing too hard against the fabric with your rug gun, or you could be gliding the rug gun too fast/slow as you are tufting if you don’t believe those are the issues then maybe it could be the how tight you put your fabric on your carpet tacks!

@manlymcstud85883 жыл бұрын
that's a good question. i assume you'd clean them just like you would any shag rug you buy in a store. maybe a dry cleaner would be a better bet. i also assume it depends on the quality of the materials and how much the rug maker wants to make the highest quality product they can.
@alexcamerano86213 жыл бұрын
I don’t have rugs so I don’t know the first thing about cleaning them I’ve always seen like bath Matt’s and Riggs just get thrown in the washer and dryer so idk hopefully somebody’s explains better
@manlymcstud85883 жыл бұрын
@@alexcamerano8621 i've seen conflicting articles on dry cleaning acrylic, so best to ask your cleaner who would really know. you wouldn't put one in a washing machine like anything else, but if you did put it in a mesh bag and probably wash on gentlest cycle. most of the articles mentioned it would be better to hand wash them and gave some general instructions.

I've wondered about this with 3d models as well. I know that there were issues when the mandalorian came out and there was a flood of baby Yoda models for 3d printing for sale online. I'd be careful trying to sell any copyrighted or trademarked items online, let alone make videos of me doing it. Good luck to you! I think they look great!
@GrandMasterLynx3 жыл бұрын
The first thing they would do is send you a C&D letter Cease and Desist to tell you to stop or they will sue that would be my best guess on what would happen
@c.carrott86793 жыл бұрын
Yup. This is definitely a copyright or trademark infringement or both. Video game characters and cartoon characters are definitely off limits. The craft is really cool and the products look great. But you're breaking the law when you use a character so blatently copied (he's essentially tracing someone else's work) and sell the product. You can probably get away with gifting these rugs but if you plan to make money selling them, you're just asking for Nintendo to sue you (and they will win and/or bankrupt you). Not to mention the moral issue of stealing someone else's character design to make money off of. Sure, this guy is probably making money and, to give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he doesn't realize it's illegal (same thing as bootlegging movies; there is money to be made but do you risk it and how do you feel about what you're doing?). Also, just because an image is pulled from Google does not mean it is in the public domain in a legal sense. So, anyone thinking of doing the exact same thing should know that and maybe just take away from this video a cool crafting hobby. Just don't follow this guy's footsteps and break the law. I was curious that his rugs aren't being sold on the same website that is advertised here. He's selling the tools to make your own rug, which is fine. But, encouraging others to make money by breaking the law is probably not okay. Long story short: Buyer Beware.

Why do you guys all do the adhesives, cut, adhesive, fold, adhesive, felt process? Are you all just copying from each other? Why not just adhesive *once* and use that to both glue the tufting, sandwich the edges, and adhere the backing? Save yourself like 3 steps and a bunch of unnecessary extra products. All you need is a bunch of dollar clamps to keep things tight.
