I made a map (and story) for Pokémon Legends Kyurem (a hypothetical Pokémon game)

I personally felt like the rival represented truth and the player ideals, in a way. The rival represents truth because it's seemingly intuitive that both civilizations would benefit from interaction. The player represents ideals because they fight to respect the vows of the native Alleosans. In the end, considering the player can choose which dragon to pick, it makes sense to leave this piece of the story open to interpretation.

Yeah. To me, truth comes across as cold, hard logic. The rival *knows* that this alliance will help both groups, so there's no reason anyone *should* oppose it. While the ideals are more based on not what is empirically the best option, but the option that people actually *want.*

Actual 10/10 on everything. Only thing I’d change is instead of having the rival just be a friend, how sad would it be if it was your little brother/sister with you on the journey? To me this feels way more impactful than a friend rival since you’d have no real connection to them, and after the final battle it’s not just your old friend you lost, but literally your younger sibling you were supposed to protect.

I'm really curious about how you'll tie in Volcarona and Relic Castle together, considering that ruined city was kinda his place of residence, especially considering the murals of it found there. Map's fuckin amazing btw! Love the Entralink lore being tied to Victini!

Volcarona could be one of the Gods that the People of Ancient Unova worshipped. Its body type resembling a drawing of the sun could mean something. It could have a Bug Fairy form first, and only develop the modern day Buf Fire form due to the heat trapped in the dunnes of Castelia after the fight between the two leads.

Volcarona could be in it's Pre evolution state or found in it's hibernation state of the fire cocoon. Given it was sleeping for 2500 years. Maybe add some already active ones and give a higher chance of a Shiny version. And with added paradox Pokemon Iron Moth or The past version as a rare Terrastilization style raid area.

I've always loved this idea of ancient Unova, and I think there would be a lot to explore thematically with "truth" and "ideals". If you were to do past America, you could definitely interweave aspects of the Native American life and arrival of the Europeans (same as the way the research team arrives in Hisui and changes things forever). Probably wouldn't be possible as it is a kid's game, but a fan game with some heavier topics in a setting like this could be really good.

@@landrypierce9942 lol super late to this. i didnt mean it in that way. i meant not showing explicit scenes of violence obviously as it is ultimately a game for all ages. you cant tell the story of the native american genocide and displacement in any fashion without violence being present. i meant more so that pokemon has already played with heavier topics ie. environmental disasters (gen3), cosmic world domination (gen4), pokemon slavery (gen5), literal war (gen6), abusive and neglectful family (gen7 and 9), corrupt corporations (gen8).

Seeing this gave me an idea for possible characters for two of the native tribespeople of Alleos you could add before the full story comes out, they're the ancestors of Athena & Concordia and are named Onsi & Lusa respectively. The names are taken from the Choctaw words for Eagle & Raven respectively. As for their looks and personalities, Onsi (Athena) has white/silver hair and is outgoing, yet quite stubborn once her mind is set on something. Making reference to the color of the head of a bald eagle and it's predator status. While Lusa (Concordia) has jet black hair and is rather shy. But where she lacks in muscular strength, she makes up for with mental strength. She's the smartest girl of her village, and she's more skilled in Pokemon battles compared to her non-identical twin sister. This makes reference to the color of the body feathers of a raven and their freakishly high intelligence for birds. It's up to you if you add them or not, it was merely a suggestion to add more to this fan-game.

Instead of picking your legendary, it should be about picking your text box Something like: “It is true we could make them work with us, but how long would such an arrangement last and how strong would it be and would history look back and agree we did the right thing?” Or “You’re being unrealistic! There is no way this will turn out well, certainly you can see that? Force them to agree to our terms and we set the stage for constant war and strife in these lands, you must see the truth of my words!” And then it Kyurem roars in pain, the husk walking back in defeat at the severing, and two “eggs” fly out of the remaining shell of the former 100% form the white and black and based on choice of text is the one you get and the rival gets the other and that seems to settle it, until you find out that the rival hatches his/her egg and now wants to try it their way and you have to hatch yours to stop rival

I love the idea of finally seeing the original dragon, and how you play out the story of the two holders of Zekrom and Reshiram originally. It’s a fantastic idea and it’s the reason why I see that Unova should be the next obvious choice for a Legends game

First off, this is an awesome story and an amazing map of the ancient Unova region. Secondly, I don't know if you've already thought of the Totem Pokemon, but I have a couple suggestions that might interest you. Fire Totem Pokemon: Alleosian Lopunny- A Fire/Fighting Type Pokemon that has embraced the native art of fighting and control over the flames of the Alleosian Region. Unlike Lopunny's from other regions it has forgone its Normal Typing for a wilder and stronger type. Electric Totem Pokemon: Althundar (Swablu Alleosian Evolution)- An Electric/Flying Pokemon that summons the lightning from the very clouds it nests in. Their regal and fierce look can only be compared to the mythical force of Thundurus and Zapdos. Ice Totem Pokemon: Alleosian Bouffalant - An Ice Type Pokemon that roams the Northern plains of the region in large herds that have often been mistaken by moving glaciers. These Bouffalants have been moving south as of late due to the explorers's expansion but even while domesticated, they are very dangerous. Dragon Totem Pokemon: Alleosian Flygon- A Dragon/Water Type Pokemon that resembles a horned snake dragon and seemingly protects the coasts and rivers of the region. Despite its dangerous appearance they're known to be friendly with those with pure hearts.

You clearly poured so much effort into remaining faithful to the original iterations while still giving it your own, unique spin - and ending on a bittersweet note is quite a daring move. I would change the area names to not just be the names of towns that they include, its a little boring and Hisui only does this for Coronet, which is the most iconic landmark in the region Also, you use Fieldlands too much. I audibly groaned at “Castelia Fieldlands”, which is the least original name I have every heard. But then you used fieldlands a second time for like, no reason. Aside from some unnecessary areas, love this map. You nailed the style, and I like the concept of having the bridges of the future Unova being like checkpoints, where building each one progresses the story one step further and allowing you to access new reasons. Side story note, I do love the idea of the “Dragon Tamer Clan” are the descendants of the Alleosians, and that Iris, Drayden, and by extention Claire are all members. There’s so much more I want to say about this story, enough to fill a book, both constructive criticism and applause You and Hugh’s ancestor being the creators of Zekrom and Reshiram is just so cool, and watching the creation of the Giant’s Chasm and the desert around Castelia rules. Honestly something I wanted to see in Legends: Arceus, where you watch landmarks of the region take form. Everyhing aside, there is one sorta big story change I would make. Split the Alleosians in 3. The three ruins of Unova were all clearly built by different cultures, sharing no lore and pretty much zero architectural similarities. The Dragonspiral people would be Dragon tamers ancestral to Iris, Drayden, Claire, and most modern Dragon Tamer trainers. The Relic Castle people would revere Volcarona, and could maybe include ancestors to some of Team Flare (which would make sense historically since the french colonizers did commonly have children with indigenous people, often non-consensually but that can be left out of this children’s game) And the Abyssal Ruin people would be ancestral to N and his family, since the Abyssal Ruins are a tomb for an ancient king who is implied to be related to share N’s last name by one of the inscriptions on the fourth floor. “The Great King *******” (with specifically 7 asterisks), ‘Harmonia’ which is the last name of N and Ghetsis has the same number of letters. The fourth floor has several redacted inscriptions, but they all have sets of 4 asterisks, so the 7 here is likely intentional. The three nations could parallel the 3 cores that the player of Legends Kyurem can join, as well as the 3 colonizing countries/regions (England/Galar, France/Kalos, and Spain/Paldea). The themes of 3 are also present all around Unova, with the 3 different legendary trios, Cilan and his brothers’ gym, and the introduction of triple battles.

I love the story between the rivals, but instead of conflicting with your rival… what if you conflict with a completely different character, who after the stress of the battle and conflict, his hair turns a pale green, and he stumbles into the desert, not sure of his fate??? You said that the native people of Alleos have had bad experiences with outsiders in the past, so I have a suggestion to connect more of the history to Spain & France's North American colonies. A named NCP in one of the villages (An ancestor for one of the BW anime exclusive characters) tells you that sometime between the appearance of Victini's crater and your expedition team's arrival, armored warriors from Paldea ravaged the land and a then few years later, armored warriors from Kalos would come to Alleos and do the exact same thing.

you coming up with backstory for the abyssal ruins, relic castle, giant chasm, desert, and even anville town was so exciting for me. unova has so many areas that need exploration and explanation for what they were in the past. but once you revealed that the main characters of the story were the kings referred to in unovan legend, i was blown away. fantastic! and i think your map is gorgeous. it looks very fun to explore. i do think it would make sense to have fewer areas though, the 2 water areas can be combined with their neighboring land areas.

The map looks so good. Now, i wonder if you also do forms for Pokemon that are from BW2 or are you solely gonna do them for Unova Pokemon only. And like in Legends Arceus, there can be Pokemon that don't inhabit the region anymore in Unova, but have done so in Alleos. So as an example for a questline, when Skyarrow Bridge starts construction, there comes a very angry Water or Flying Pokemon that hampers the construction and you need to fight it to calm it down, it becoming your flying or swimming mount.

I know this is 2 months late but when I heard how the story would play out, I think of True Form Kyurem as something that would inflict a wound, the region as a body and the Alleosians as platelets, healing up the injury with the leader of the Alleosians being a bandage, temporarily closing off the connection of the people with the outside world, with your rival wanting to force them to open up, essentially ripping off the bandage early, while it would heal over time, it wouldve been painful for the body to experience something being forced to open and the injury wouldve gotten worse over time. While you would let the bandage do its job, over time, the bandage would be removed, the injury healed and the leader opening up willingly.

What if we could add Elgyem and Beheeyem, but as an exteremly rare species? The BW2 dex for Elgyem says it's been first seen 50 years before Unova games, but what if It could have been on Earth earlier... Like in Ultra Sun dex entry - where people mistake this Pokemon as and alien, so It's possible for this evo line to be native to Earth, or it's first appearance was way, way before. Presence of this species may be a reference to imaginary entities commonly encountered under the influence of ayahuasca - popular hallucinogen invented and used by native Americans. So Alleosians may have accidently brought these creatures to our world by using the substance. Among "colonists", existence of both Elgyem and Beheeyem would seem more like just a rumor, or cryptids. I'd really love to see some love and attention given to these Pokemon, because I absolutely adore their design (Especially the second form which looks 1 to 1 like liberty cap and I can't unsee it)

I'd change the player choice of Hilbert and Hilde to maybe Hilde and Nate( who's ancestor expie is named Nathaniel). Or have all 4 present Give some veriety since the Black and White games have 2 sets of protagonists. Also Hilde would be hilarious to have her classic outfit but the option of holding a Team Yell shirt as a pre startup option. The leaders of the natives could look like Alder and Iris while the Expedition group look like the sages of team plasma and have a wildcard of Ghetsis and Emmet.

I think having a more “temporary happy ending” would be better, like “the rival gone, but we need to make sure he doesn’t come back” leaving it open for interpretation and leading into black and whites story better

Random idea: to parallel Ingo's presence in Legends Arceus, Emmet could show up in Legends Kyurem. If there was some kind of diving ride pokemon, he could manage that, since his name in Japanese roughly translates to "down-going" iirc. (This would parallel Ingo's name being "up-going" and him giving you access to the climbing ride pokemon). It wouldn't be clear how he got there or have any part in the main plot. Unlike Ingo, however, he wouldn't have amnesia, he's just trying to avoid fucking up the timeline so he's making a token effort not to try to not seem like a time traveler from the future. He's not very good at it. He's known to the locals as that one super weird guy who keeps talking about twin dragons and big towers of metal and glass. Also, when you first meet him, he explains he's here looking for his brother, Ingo. Every time you run into him after that he asks you if you've seen him.

You should make the true dragon have a fire attack that adds the fire type, and a electric attack that adds the electric type so it has all of the types. just not all at once. If it hasn’t used the signature moves, it would just be Dragon. Also make it plasma dragon for obvious reasons.

I've always imagined the starters of a Legends Kyurem to be Litwick, Sewaddle & tympole with 'Alleosan' final evos or both middle and final evo forms since Unova is the only region tht can hypothetically have a second set of starters. I would love your take on Unova set in the far future of a hypothetical Black 3 & White 3. I'd imagine Nate/Rosa as champion, Hugh as the new Iccirus City gym leader, Cheren taking Grimsley's spot in the Elite 4, Bianca as the regional professor etc. I'd imagine a load of unovan forms of non-gen 5 Pokemon especially those from Gen 1-4.

I think that Castelia should more or less be the same area and be called a city. Castelia is already based on the oldest part of New York City, as the tip of Manhattan/Financial District was the place where the Dutch built New Amsterdam. It didn't extend north of its defenses on what is now Wall Street, hence why it would be named that. Also I feel like the two Unovan rivers would converge and continue north like how it is in real life.

You could try to tie half of the damage done by the ruin pokemon, created by the conflict between the two dragons, with a new dark type legendary being responsible for their creation. It might be a good idea to make the original kyurem be a fairy dragon.

I will say that I do suspect that come legends (2) they will go full open world similar to paldea which means that (region) would not be gutted for that game like hisui was for arceus. (There should have been dlc that added the surrounding islands, the eternal woodland, the area around veil stone and sinjoh.) so no worries there.

i think your story is amazing, I think adding characters like a relative of N as the main king- having a women relative of Burg being the "resident architecture specilist" for the hub village would as be a neat addition. other characters like Grimsley - Cheren - and Bianca could as be added in terms of leaders for the respective corps? Grimsley for fennekin, Cheren for Quaxley and some rowdy and rambunctious version of Bianca for Grookey

I like that you and your rival fight but I have a suggestion. The rival should be customizable, make the player make the rival even choosing the gender. They could even be siblings and rival to keep with the story, this makes the rival close to the player and makes their descent into madness more impactful. Have them be the best of friends at first not rivals, they could become more and more jealous as the player gets stronger and stronger then them.
