I'd carry on with it, I also own a Laser Blue Mk5 GTI & it would be a shame to see one scrapped due to it being quite a rare colour. Also for the intake, I have a REVO one which is rated the best for the MK5 GTI's! The engine cover / OEM intake are known to crack / snap.

Keep going with it, it will make a nice car. Id avoid an engine flush on that, could cause problems. Just do another oil change.

Live the videos and the car! Youve cleaned it up and its come out looking beautiful, if you can get it insured for a good price i would recommend keeping it and maybe using it as a daily, i had a mk5 GTI with an AK47 backfire tune, rev it up and it would set off car alarms. Its a good platform for tuning, racing or just dailying

Just carry on with it ,who cares .Just fully detail it. Get the engine bay ,the chassis and the paint work looking it's best .I'd love to see what the engine bay and chassis would look like after it's been dry ice blasted. Loving the auto finesse products they are also my go to brand for everything automotive detailing 🤟👍

@ it’ll be well worth it, just fix the common issues like the PCV, DV, Rocker cover gasket and keep it well maintained and there reliable as they come, you can daily this and have fun it’s like a go kart and there’s plenty of mods you can do to them 👍
