Thank you so much, I have been battling with remorse and grief for so long, to make sure mum is comfortable and dealing with so many negative family members. You have renewed my strength to keep going .... Thank you 🙏❤❤❤

Thank you for putting this together and getting it out there ---- there's always that thought-- "I'm not doing enough, i need to do better, " etc. The issues you discuss are imperative for all caregivers to hear. Myself included. Bless you-- and to anyone out traveling this path💫🙏 The grief is real.... missing who they once were, slowly losing them while they are right in front of you -- And like you mentioned---- everyone you knew, friends, family--, fade out -- Even Just a phone call could mean the world for someone with Alz, anything to keep them engaged --- It all gets very heavy... God bless 🫶

"Why can staff get the patient to do things? Emotional detachment." We can do this at home: Deteach with love. The best literature on that is from AlAnon, a support group for friends & family of alcoholics. Very similar to dementia in how it affects affects family.

Thank you so much for this. I watch your KZbin channel as often as I can and find all of the lectures very helpful. I’m battling this grief right now. Have had some hard days recently. It just breaks my heart to see my husband changing. I am on a local support group but thinking I’d like to join an online one also
