That's usually what's recommended by the base game, but I assume it's either a joke or a clever tactic in this video. (It works much better to have a wall of sunflowers both because it means peashooters in the back have a longer distance to fire and therefore kill more but also it just feels cooler IMO. Just a different setup)

I always wondered why zombies looked so angry. They are basically dumb, hungry walking things whose purpose is to eat. Do they even have the ability to be angry? On the other hand, what does a dumb hungry facial expression look like? I once took my car to a mechanic who I later discovered was completely incompetent. As I recall it was around lunch time, and he fiddled around under the hood and charged me $50 but only made things worse. I guess you could call him dumb and hungry, but he had a totally nondiscript expression the whole time. Oops, gotta go. I'm feeling a bit peckish and I have some leftover cervelle de veau in the fridge. 😋

It's actually optimal to do it that way. The sunflower in the back means once the pea shooter is eaten, you just have to watch as the sunflower is eaten with no attackers. However, with the sunflower infront, it offers the pea shooter extra defense and stalls the zombies if they get past your barriers, and gives extra time for them to be killed I beat the entire game without a single death using this layout :}
