My pet toad needed a new home. So I restored an old aquarium and made a bio-active terrarium.

📣 The Good News Message 📣
We've all lied, stolen, hated, and done wrong. These are morally evil things that should be punished. However, God is not only just, but also love. He manifested Himself on earth in the person Jesus. He lived the perfect sinless life we are incapable of living yet died the death we deserve. Jesus bore the wrath of God as though He had committed all our sins. In other words, we owed God in death for our moral crimes, but Jesus paid the fine. He defeated death and rose again! This was so that our sin could be paid for justly, and so Jesus' perfect righteousness could be gifted to us who put our trust Him and what He did on our behalf. God deeply desires a relationship with you, but will not tolerate sin. You can be forgiven if you simply trust in the payment made for you. Turn from sin and trust in Christ because you are loved!

Brilliant video and very informative. I need a bit of advice, just a question though, would you need a light and what about the top to stop him escaping?
@Practically_Nature
@Practically_Nature 5 ай бұрын
Light is necessary for plant growth. Toads don’t generally jump as much or as high as frogs so as long as there is nothing for the toad to climb on to get 6 inches below the rim, you should be okay without a lid. I did actually have Meatball escape this setup once because he climbed the driftwood and hopped out. I simply but it board across the tank in the back just over the driftwood and never had the problem again.

@Practically_Nature
@Practically_Nature Ай бұрын
Well, if you’d like some plants that have roots in the water and leaves above the water, I would recommend some Hastas. They are very robust and do great with their roots submerged. They can get fairly big though. As for fully submerged plants, I would recommend Hornwort or Alternanthera Reineckii to start.

What is the maintenance/cleaning like for this habitat? My son is 4 and I want to help him enjoy his nature boy ways. But for now, that means it’s gotta be me taking the lead on learning about upkeep. I also keep trying to get him to name his toad Frogo Baggins, and he just looks at me like I have two heads. We’ll get there one day…
@Practically_Nature
@Practically_Nature 2 ай бұрын
Hehe Frogo Baggins is a good one! It doesn’t require too much. The main thing is just making sure the toad has access to clean water all the time. If you’re able to keep lights and water the terrarium regularly, you’ll be able to keep the plants alive. Then it’s just the matter of looking out for mold and removing the poo if it’s not dealt with by insects.

Hey man, I just have to say that I think it's awesome that you were bold enough to talk about your faith on KZbin. It's something I've always thought about with and wondered how to implement it into a channel. I'm also a Christian and, ironically, from an area near the blue ridge mountains too! (Lynchburg, Virginia to be precise.) What brought you to Argentina? (if you don't mind my asking - it's totally ok if you do mind). Thanks again for sharing!

That’s awesome! I’m from Nelson Country! I’m in Argentina because that’s where my wife is from. We met on OM’s Logos Hope (you can look it up) We got married here since she needs to get a visa before we can live in the US. I think Christians need to be more bold about sharing our faith no matter what we’re doing. I just happen to be doing KZbin, so that’s where I share.
