I must admit, I'm not really into Disney, but I really loved your pocket. I liked that you thought outside the box. It made me think of doing a Doctor Who pocket.

I liked the black outlining of your embroidered Disney characters because it helped them show up from a distance. The pocket you made was really lovely and the one you received was terrific. I really like that Strinchronicity added an inside divided pocket and will absolutely keep that in mind when I finally make my own.

I love your pockets. Tinkerbell is one of my favs. I wish I had bought an embroidery sewing machine combo. I spent around $400 for my machine and $500 for my sewing machine both on sale. I wish I had spent a bit more on a combo. I love my sewing machine but the limitations of my embroidery machine mean that I don't use it as much as I thought that I would. I love having pockets for my costumes, it never occurred to me to use my machine.

They're both beautiful! For Tinkerbell, I do think she needed to be outlined, but it could have been in, I don't know, a soft brown or something. I don't know if it looks silly to combine hand embroidery with machine embroidery, but you could have gotten a more delicate outline doing it by hand with even just one strand. I don't know if those ideas would be useful for future projects or not -- just my thoughts. I can't wait to see the other pockets!

Oh! Metallic thread would have made a good outline for Tink. Gold around her body, green around her dress.

All the pretty pockets! For the outline, maybe a medium grey would be better than outright black? It's less harsh but still does the job.

Your pocket was so adorable and the one you received was very cute. I actually think I might start making at one or two because lately I’ve noticed that all of the loungewear/pajamas I buy no longer have pockets in them, how are you supposed to carry your phone or Kleenex or anything else if there’s no pockets? I don’t necessarily always want to be wearing a sweater or something, these pockets would be an awesome option. And although I don’t have quite the sophisticated embroidery machine you do, I do have a brother machine which has a few small embroidery options and so I could probably do something very cute. Fingers crossed. Take care and stay safe!

@LadyRebeccaFashions3 жыл бұрын
The only way I know how to actually reorder the segments is through computer software. That's why I just went through and moved forward and backward throughout the stitch order it had, to do everything that was marked as the same color.

Hi! Very educational. I have a question. Why would you want your ties to stretch? Why not cut it on the grain and finish with a straight stitch for minimal stretch?
@LadyRebeccaFashions3 жыл бұрын
In this case, it's because I'm cutting them from the same edge as the binding, which needs to be in the bias. And I've never had an issue with stretching, since they're just ties.
