I have read that they live in areas with little humidity and that they need at least one completely dry area. What can you tell me about your experience? Can they stay in completely humid terrariums? naturally not the paludarium-type aquatic ones, it's a variety that I really like too and I would like to put them in woodland-type terrariums. I'm Italian and I hope that Google translator has translated well :))

@Antonella Tundo well they are a large species so I wouldn't recommend putting them in anything smaller than 6×6 inches. In my experience they do need a dry area. That does not mean they won't live in a humid environment but they certainly won't thrive to their fullest. It is a hardy species so it should be able to adapt fairly well. Even if they have leaf litter or hard scape to escape from moist substrate I would think they would do fine

my favourite feature was the wood acting as if it was making a cave over the pond, also the leaf litter, moss and botanicals were spread out in a very pleasing ratio. Planting behind the hardscape had a beautiful effect that the terrarium continued outside of the terrarium like it was a real forest. In my opinion this is a 10/10 build.

In the future, undo the perfect geometry of the pond (or any plastic accessory used for any purpose). I do this by submerging in boiling water. That gets most plastics soft enough to reshape by hand. Use cold water to lock in the shape. Repeat until you are satisfied, ☮️❤️🌈

A few small garden millipedes would add some interest. They're only 1" - 1 1/2" long, and won't bother the isopods or springtails like garden centipedes would. I love the pond. It adds a lot to the terrarium.

That's basically the same exact thing I was gonna do, with a spherical glass jar and a pond in the center, except to imitate the Garden of Eden, and I was gonna make a replica Tree of Life on a crystal/rock in the pond! I hope to do it someday, but idk if I can do it now.
