I was one of the people that commented about that on your original video. You've saved $50 on buying the perpetual now rather than in the summer if that softens the blow a little. Also Musio said on a forum in November they were putting Musio 2 together, so if we take that at face value, then hopefully your subsciption will allow you to try that out where I will have to upgrade. However that might make for another dilemma if it's really appealing. Like many companies it's not easy to decifer exactly what these different deals on offer really mean, Musio being one of the worst culprits with that offer. I've downloaded the content just in case it turns out to be a fire sale with Cinesamples rather than sqeezing the maximum revenue out of Musio 1 before launching a newer version. Seeing Musio 1 is virtually the whole Cinesamples output minus a few bells and whistles, to make Musio 2 appealing it would suggest a massive amount of new content ready to be launched in one go, which sort of seems unlikely as muscians and studio time needs to be paid for. So more mystery.

You live and learn - if you're lucky 😔 At £149 it's already £30 cheaper than their xmas sale 😊 No idea how Musio 2 will pan out but I'm not overly concerned. It would have to be stupendously bigger or stupendously cheap - preferably both I guess they could add all the bit and bobs that are missing from the Kontakt libraries. They've a way to go to catch up with East Westt 😊

Normally I dislike subscriptions either, for the exact same reasons you gave in your videos, however, I made a carefully considered exception for Roland' Cloud's "Play4Life" offer. So I subscribed "Ultimate" at 222 € for 1 year, and after that, I was allowed to select 2 instruments for perpetual licenses. I chose the D-50 and XV-5080, which would have cost me a lot more if it wasn't for the Play4Life deal. Not to mention that this 1-year membership gave me the opportunity to check out all the other vintage instruments and expansion boards available on Roland Cloud!

As long as you're happy 👍 I think in the back of my mind was the idea of checking out what's in Musio but you get a 30 day trial so that really shouldn't have been necessary 😔

I am sorry that it set you back at all, Ian. In any event, I’m managing. Back in the summer when I had my second bout of COVID-19, I refused to let it stop me finishing three new records at all came out at the beginning of autumn.
